              A:  Our shower bases are not tile ready, as long as you match the dimensions for the base a substitute may work for you.

                Q:How does the unit anchor to walls? are there screws/holes needed to be drilled in tile? Also, what about anchoring the two support rods at each top?

                A:  If you have a tile you must drill holes through the Tile

                  A:  Yes you will have to drill into the tile, we provide anchors that would go into the wall. Same will be done for the support arms.

                    A:  this model comes with the enclosure and shower base. As for fitting on an existing base, you would need to compare the dimensions of both shower bases (Vigo and oher mfg). You can contact our tech support dept and they can get you the shower base dimensions.
