A:  If the table is painted with a light color, you may notice that adding the Rust-Oleum Varathane Satin Triple Thick Polyurethane may cause it to yellow. If the colors are dark, and have cured, you can try the product to make sure you're happy with it! Applying to vertical surfaces or onto ceilings may cause the finish to sag due to how thick the finish is. We recommend using a high-quality, synthetic bristle brush, or applicator pad to apply the polyurethane. A:  It is self leveling BUT read everything instructions before starting because normally just a thin coat is applied let to dry 24 or more hrs before the next coat ..stuff works great even after I had some brush strokes left..it levelled out each time too

We would consider both that and our Varathane Triple Thick Polyurethane equally durable coatings, with the durability mainly affected by the coating thickness.
