We recommend against removing the fan blade for cleaning, remove only for replacement. If you absolutely need to clean the blades we suggest you gently wipe them while it is in place. The fan blade is very thin and easily damaged which would compromise the efficiency of the fan and could cause damage to the motor as well so do so only at your own risk and if absolutely necessary. Even wiping them down while in place is risky.

The top of the range hood is 14" which leaves 2" (of the 14") to clear the cabinet if you are indoor venting. The bottom is 18" as the top and bottom is angled at the front of the hood.

If you're using a boot which is also an aftermarket product and going to a round vent we suggest a diameter of 7" or a minimum of 6". Anything less than 6" would defeat the purpose of a 320 cfm hood.
