A: The Cayuga ceiling fan uses a specific remote control and therefore only operates this specific ceiling fan. If our ceiling fan comes with a remote control, it is specific to that ceiling fan. if you have 3 fans that come with the same type of remote control, then it may be possible to have those ceiling fans all set to the same dip switch setting and operate by 1 handheld remote control.

A: Hi Charmet, Dont know if the fans you have are the same remotes in each but I have two different Westinghouse fans and they both have the same remote so if the codes are set the same in all fans it should work with the one remote, will not know if you got same remote till you have them in your hand, but good chance they are all alike

A: The only 56" ceiling fan that Westinghouse offers is our Industrial Ceiling fan and this specific ceiling fans use a specific wall control that comes with the fan. You cannot use a remote control with our 56" Industrial fans. Also, it is only 1 fan per each individual wall control.

A: The remote is a Westinghouse brand, no part number on the unit, attached is a photo of a sticker on it

A: Yes, this ceiling fan comes with (2) medium base 8 watt T7 type LED light bulbs. The LED is not integrated in the fan and is replaceable. This fan uses LED's only and it is a maximum of 8 watts each socket.

A: Hi Jen, this fan does have the T7 E26 base LED bulbs that you can change but with a life of right around 15,000 hours or 13.6 years don't rush out to buy replacements

A: Depends on how high your ceiling is, I’m using the 6in but I have high ceilings, I wish I had opted for a 12 inch one. If you have standard ceilings go with 6”

A: Hi RNGirl, you can use any size you want, you did not say your ceiling height or anything about the room. But fan blades must be 7' 6" off the floor min. so is all in what you like
by|May 5, 2023
A: The size of the down rod depends on your ceiling height and where it will be installed. Consult your local building inspector or electrician for assistance with size needed for your area.

Q:Why is the motor humming on this brand new fan I installed this weekend? It is balanced and it's not from screws rubbing anything, it's the motor.

A: If it is humming and not a vibration it may be the motor. I would take it back to the store for an exchange.

Q:I want to use a wall controller and a remote control. In my last house I used Honeywell's combo wall controller and remote but I know it requires a pull chain to set the fan on high for it to work properly. Without a pull chain can this fan work with a Westinghouse wall controller? Will the remote still work after i install the wall controller or does it use a different receiver?

Answer This Question
A: No, you cannot use any other wall controller along with the Cayuga ceiling fan. This is a remote only ceiling fan and needs to be operated specifically with that remote only.
