Q:Do you own this? Does your dryer leak on steam setting too? Super upset with this and wish i could take back Bought this brand new, paid alot of money for this so we can have the steam option - first time using this, and the steam option, a good amount of water leaked out of the bottom of the door and onto the washer (as this is a stackable unit). It wasn't small drips, it was a good amount of water. Called support, they sent a technician. Technician fought with whirlpool company who says this is inteneded and nothing wrong. if we use steam option, we should use steam option on a full load of clothes to prevent water from leaking (?WHAT? - i want to steam just a shirt or a few dress shirts, not a load of towels) - technician explained again, its a good amount of water leaking out and was then told again this is normal. Was then told to be careful, as the water drips right onto the washer and hits the touchscreen panel, which could then fry the circuits and would NOT be covered under warranty - but there isn't a way to stop the water from leaking, as its "normal" - if i unstack, than the water would land on the floor and ruin the floor over time. the nightmare continues as the whirlpool company told the technician they advise NOT using the steam function(yet this is why we bought this product) and to just throw a wet rag in with our clothes to help remove wrinkles i'm upset, angry, shocked, cannot believe what we have been told - especially for the cost of these

A:  This certainly sounds like a design flaw and I'm disappointed in the manufacturer. Our washer and dryer sit in a tiled basin to catch any water or leaks and not cause any damage in case of a leak. If our steam function is leaking water it is just going down the drain and we are unaware of the issue. This sounds like a genuine flaw and you should review the dryer and leave an appropriate and accurate review. You should talk to Home Depot and see if they will do something to help you out.
