Answer This Question
A: Yes. Follow the dilution for heavy duty stripping. Dilute 64 ounces of Zep Heavy Duty Floor Stripper Concentrate with one gallon hot water (130° - 150°F or 54° -66°C). Generously spread solution over area to be stripped with a cotton string mop and allow to soak 5-8 minutes. DO NOT allow stripper to dry before rinsing. If desired, agitate with a brush or stripping pad. For heavier jobs, use a low-speed stripping machine. Pick up solution completely with a clean mop or wet vacuum. Rinse twice and allow to dry before applying a sealer suitable for exterior concrete. - Zep Inc.

Q:Will this work to remove a sealer that turned white when applied to outdoor stone tiles on my patio?
by|Jul 27, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Yes...I used it outside on ceramic tiles that the prior home owner applied heavy coats of was on that had turned yellow. Also the entire inside of the house where the same wax was applied on all tile. It was a mess. I poured it on full strength then used a mop to push it around. Do a 5 foot square of tile at a time so it doesn't dry. You'll have to scrub a bit. But it takes everything off.

A: Absolutely. Test product in an inconspicuous area before use and allow area too dry to determine compatibility. For Light to Medium-Duty Stripping: Dilute 16 ounces of product with 1 gallon hot water (130° - 150°F or 54° - 66°C) - a 1:8 dilution. For Heavy-Duty Stripping: Dilute 64 ounces with 1 gallon hot water (130° - 150°F or 54° - 66°C) - a 1:2 dilution. Apply the solution liberally with a cotton mop, and allow solution to soak 5-8 minutes . Use a brush or scrubbing pad if necessary to agitate stubborn areas, then remove solution with a wet vac or mop. Rinse floor twice and allow to dry. I hope this helps! Q:Is this ok to use to remove wax build up on laminate floor?
by|Jun 20, 2022

Answer This Question
A: Sorry, I used it on ceramic tile not laminate so I can’t say if it’s safe. The bottle says it’s okay to remove wax buildup on linoleum though. You might test it on a small area of your laminate that would not be noticeable if it were damaged by the cleaner. The stripper must be rinsed off after applying and removing wax. It has a strong chemical odor and is very harsh. So I would use a more gentle cleaner or contact the manufacturer directly and ask specifically about whether you can use it on laminate. Good luck!

Q:can this be used on clay tiles??
by|May 27, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: This stripper is best used to remove polishes, temporary shine products and other pour on from retail stores applications that clean and leave behind a shiny surface. As these products age, discolor, build-up etc this product will remove them and leave the original finish in tact.
If the clay does not have an original finish this product may discolor the base original clay. It it is a sealed tile use the same caution but it should work fine on sealed products.
No matter the flooring always cut this product with water and apply it in a non conspicuous area like somewhere in a closet, under where a rug or furniture would be or even an appliance. Go slow until you know the impact on your floor.
