Hello Maddie, thank you for your question. Our peel and stick tiles are resistant to moisture and humidity however they were not designed to be used on shower walls. Direct contact with water over a prolonged period of time may affect the adherence of the product. For the shower area, you may place them at a height were they will not be in contact with the shower flow. For the bathtub, they may be installed around however make sure that the area has been properly cleaned with a degreaser, thoroughly dried and wait at least 48 hours before using the bathtub to ensure the tile has a chance to properly adhere to the surface.
I did use it over shower
I'm tempted to say yes, but I don't think I'd actually do it myself. The adhesive on these tiles is really super, but there are so many joints where the sheets come together that it might become a mildew nightmare. A better choice might be ceramic 'subway tiles' that are in the same department. More work, but well worth the effort. Although many are frightened off by the idea, with a little bravery and some careful execution, its a better choice and within most DIY skill sets.
These are not an oblong shape, 3” by 6” you could trim the tile to, but it is an ‘H’ shaped tile
Hello, a full sized Smart Tile sheet of the Metro model is 11.56 x 8.38 inches. Each Metro model sheet has 8 individual tile ''stones'' that are 3 x1.5 inches. Smart Tiles does offer different models and the sheet dimentions vary between them.
Each tile, in relief on the sheet is a 2” by 6” impression, to use just One brick you would have to cut out from the original sheets, so could alter the size bit by bit.
Hello, thank you for reaching out. All of our 4 pack Metro models cover 2.21sqft.
I don't think I'd do it that way; too much 'empty space' in the brick/mortar joints might leave too many of these tiles hanging in thin air.
Hi NJ. I’m not sure if it would stick? I would try one pack as a sample first and see how it holds. Good luck.
Hello, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing our Smart Tiles on a brick wall.
You need a smooth flat surface so the adhesive on the tiles can bond to the surface. Brick is usually rough irregular and pourious and that could cause the tiles to not uniformly hold to your wall.
Metro Blanco and Metro Campagnola are similar. They each have 8 "stones" per sheet. The Blanco is white with white grout and the Campagnola is white with grey grout. There is also the Subway white which is white stones with white grout. The "stones" are alot smaller that the metro " stones" and there are 18 smaller stones per sheet.
Are you talking about the blanc color? For the blanc, the “grouting” is white while the white tiles have a light gray grouting.
Campagnola is the 'style', white is the 'color'.
Hello, thank you for reaching out. The best would be to contact Home Depot Customer Care for this information.
Depends on the store ! They're in the floor and wall Dept. Or go on line, pick your store, find the item you want. The info will include location by aisle and bay, and will also show how many are in stock at the store.
Hello, thank you for your question. The Smart Tiles are not recommended to be used on countertops or flooring. However, you can install peel and stick Smart Tiles directly over your existing backsplash, whether it is glass or ceramic provided that your surface is smooth, sleek and without texture. You must also take into consideration the width and depth of your existing grout lines as this might affect the outcome. Some shapes of tiles (ex: diamond) have more texture than others. We recommend testing with 1 or 2 Smart Tiles that also have texture before doing the full wall. For the Oslo models, it is recommended that these be installed exclusively on smooth and sleek surfaces. Due to its size, the tile will tend to show any irregularities in the surface. If the surface is even slightly indented such as with a grout line, you must fill any gaps to ensure a smooth application of the Oslo. For the Norway Bleached Wood and Blok White, it is recommended that these be installed exclusively on a white and smooth and sleek surface. Due to its large size without grout, the tile will tend to show any irregularities and colors of the surface covered.
Simple answer is no! These are very nice tile packs but they are plastic. One hot pan + i second(or less) and you'll have both a plastic bottom pan to reclaim and a countertop to redo. Not recommended.
