AVOID, this is horrible paint!!!
If you do a Google search of this paint according to the Home Depot results, this paint has a rating of 2.2 out of 5 stars.. once you click on it it takes you here to this page where it has a substantial number more 5 star reviews.. but anyway, the paint doesn’t even appear to mix well. It looks like egg-nog and is supposed to be white. It doesn’t even cover existing paint/primer or any marks/scuffs at all! Even after 4 coats what’s under is still bleeding through. It looks horrible

Hi there, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with the paint. It is not normal for the paint to take more than four coats to cover. Typically, it covers in two coats over primed surfaces. We appreciate your feedback, and if you need further assistance, please reach out to us directly. Our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Giovanna Behr
went on easy over the primer coat but looks the best with two coats.

Not durable. Coming off in places after 1 month
Used this to paint our drab golden oak cabinets gray. Hired a pro to prep (TSP, sand, prime) & paint(2 coats). At a glance, kitchen looks 100x better. Up-close, finish is uneven & already coming off in places. Biggest issues: 1. Not durable! Just a gentle drag of fingernail removes paint. Can’t even clean up a splatter of marinara w/ a wet paper towel (paint comes right off). 2. NOT sandable (as pkg says). Just gums up the paper (even when fully cured). 3. Very hard to get a smooth finish.

Hi Cindy, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the finish you expected with our Cabinet, Door & Trim paint. It sounds like the paint may still be in the curing process since you mentioned it comes off easily with your fingernail. To fix this, I recommend gently cleaning the surface to remove any dirt and loose paint. Then, you can apply another coat while maintaining a wet edge to get an even finish. Allow the new coat to fully cure and harden before trying to clean or scratch it. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, so feel free to reach out to our Customer Care team directly for further assistance. They are always happy to help. Enjoy the rest of your day. -Christina Behr

Disappointing. Most Behr paint covers well and looks good. This product is extremely disappointing and not worth the overpriced cost.

I have used this paint color on dressers and cabinet doors. This is a beautiful color when you want a muted blackish gray. I've had very good luck with it's durability. Highly recommend!

        Drys Evenly—-Thin Consistency
This paint drys evenly and dries to touch in about two hours. Coverage is good. Paint is thin so it absorbs into the painted surface. It dries hard and is provides a durable finish. Be watchful and don’t overload brush or roller…this paint creates runs easily so recheck your work immediately before paint sets.

The paint department associate at Home Depot scanned the sample color from a piece I brought in from my home. He mixed it perfectly. Thanks

The lady said we did not need a topcoat when we asked. However, we used this same paint in 2020 for kitchen cabinets and in 2023 we still had it come off on our cleaning cloth (dawn dishsoap and water) when washed. We bought this to touch up the cabinets and will be applying a topcoat.

I love this! It goes on smooth and self levels. It has great coverage as well. It was fast drying so I could get my work done in a timely manner.

          Can't recommend
Used this (white semi-gloss) on 2 projects and wont be using anymore. First some new bathroom baseboard and door trim. It dried OK but had a tacky, gummy feel that lasted for several weeks. Instructions say dont wash for 2 weeks, so this acrylic formulation takes a very long time to cure. BUT A far worse problem is streakiness in the sheen. It starts setting up instantly and after a matter of seconds you wont be able to overlap it without messing up the finish. Frustrated and moving on!

Hi BrooklynJ, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced with our Cabinet, Door & Trim Paint. That is not the experience we want for our customers. The paint is fast-drying and has a 2-week cure time compared to the typical 4 weeks. If the coating remains tacky after it has cured, we recommend gently cleaning the surface with soap and water to remove that. In any case, your satisfaction is important to us, and we want to help you achieve positive results. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can learn more about your project and the steaking you experienced so we can assist. We look forward to hearing from you! -Lina Behr

I've used cheaper with better results
Not even sure where to start but this product is horrible I work for HD & normally are pleased with my ourchases but this is a streaky mess I went from white to onyx color & the first time using this I had to strain it there was skin floating in the can which is never a good indicator in new paint it was super watery I've done 3 coats so far and still needs another to be fully opaque

Hi Kss2209, thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear you didn't get the coverage you expected and that you had to strain the paint. It's definitely not normal for our products to have dried pieces if paint inside the container; if stirring doesn't resolve this, I wouldn't recommend using the paint. Also, please keep in mind that darker colors tend to require more coats for full coverage, so I recommend applying another coat in columns; reload your roller after each column for the best coverage. Customer satisfaction is important to us, and we'd like to help get your project back on track. Please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can further assist. We look forward to hearing from you! -Christina Behr

              Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using this paint a lot on recent projects. Just finished two in white. Goes on great with a roller or brush with a nice finish. Definitely needs two coats, but dries quick to allow a 2nd coat in just a few hours.

Makes me look like a pro
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I refinished a cabinet and some side tables with the Cabinet and trim paint. The finish came out like it was originally from the factory. People cant believe it is a repaint. I also use all the interior paints for my walls. Always a great finish and good cover. I wouldn’t buy anything else. Now get ready to repaint the interior of a new home we just purchased.

An excellent finish for seven of our doors that we repainted. We initially buff the original coat and primed, and then put two coats of the cabinet paint on the doors for very good results!

Hi Glen, thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear our Cabinet, Door & Trim Enamel did not provide the coverage you expected. Generally, paint will cover in 1-2 coats. However, porous surfaces and drastic color transitions may need additional coats for uniformity. Nonetheless, we value your customer experience with our products, and we appreciate your feedback. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance; our Customer Care team is happy to help! -Lina Behr

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the way the paint made my cabinets look. We always choose behr because of the quality and its kid friendly paint. Easy to remove stains. Worth the penny every time!
