We used the board for a bench in our attic bedroom to cover an opening for the air conditioning duct going across the space in front of the window. I did have to sort through several of the boards in the stack to find two straight ones. The only drawback was that there was no label on it for what it was made from. Until I got the email from Home Depot asking me to rate it I did not know it was spruce.
