My use: inexpensive trim on stair risers. Joint line follows stair rise, easy to manage custom fit to irregular old stairs. Works great.

The useable area after slipping tongue in groove is 5" and each 8 ft lengths yields 3.33 sq ft. If Home Depot were honest, this is a 1x5x8' but that's too much to expect.

The board warped as was cut to correct width

Planned poorly. The in store stock is not taken care of.

Some of the boards didn't have grooves on one side. Poor quality pine, needed a lot of sanding on smooth side. I won't buy again.

Since I use this to build interior barn doors, I need to do a ton of sanding because one side is rough sawn. Guess I need to buy a planer..

Great product but you have to hand select to avoid boards with splits, dings, etc. Also I didn't notice until I got them home that about half the boards had the tongue on the left, and half on the right. I was able to use them by installing them upside down, which is unnoticeable.

Picked through the 20 or so pieces they had to find five that were useable. As I was building a short fence I could work around some the boards with missing chunks. The Kid in store said they got some on the truck yesterday, but didn't know when they would be stocked. Typical HD

When at the store I had to sort through many boards to find one that wasn't warped, cracked, broken off tongue or grove, or just plan milled poorly. I would say the bad to good ratio was on the order of at least 5 to 1. Of the "good" ones I found most were not flat as they should be, instead they had a pronounced curve but not such that there was any uniformity to it. The dimensions were such that trying to get two walls to line up was far more difficult than it should have been. Fortunately I was doing a closet with them so much of this was hidden.
