Order of 22x 2x4s - Bad quality

When taking a closer look at the wood after it was delivered in was shocked to see that most are unusable, damaged and warped. This is ridiculous considering someone is picking these for a customer. Where is the quality control? Will return the order. Lesson learned.

Unusable, totally unacceptable wood.

Complete waste of time and money and effort. It was like I got the pile of rejects! All 100 of them except for literally 1. Every single board was placed with the worst side down so looking at the pile it didn't look as bad. Flip it over and there's the huge edge missing, bark still on it, cracks, holes, huge knots, etc. Never again will I buy wood from home depot. And they gave me a hard time for asking to return them. Stay Away!!

Good quality for fence cross bracing

These worked great for our fence cross bracing. I screwed two together. one horizontal and one verticle. Gives it better strength and less chance of it bowing. Easy to cut to length and screw to the fence posts.

Quality is way down. Had to pick thru many many pieces before I could find just 3 to buy. One ones I did end up with must have been covered with bark as 1/3 of the edges were missing. Would have bought more BUT the quality is so very bad.

This is the third time I've ordered wood and each time I get pieces that are less than (good). I know I can't always get perfect pieces unless I pick them out myself I can't so that's why I got them delivered. The point is if you're going to pick out some wood for a customer who is unable to pick them up, at least pick out some wood that you would pick up for yourself unless you just really don't care. I'm not blaming anyone except the person who intentionally picked out these boards for me.

Absolutely The Worst

Received 4 of these on a curbside pickup order at HomeDepot of Kingsport. Absolutely the worst lumber/customer service I’ve ever received. Cannot believe management allows this to take place. Take a look at the photos, you be the judge.

One of the boards was almost rotten, it looked like it had termite damage. Several boards were missing parts of it, like it was square. I added a couple of pictures showing the rotted wood as well as one that had a piece coming off it. The person loading the wood for me didn’t look at them and acted irritated with me for having to load it.

Purchased because I wanted to try my hand at building a Adirondack chair. Wasn't trying to build a forever lasting or high quality chair, just wanted to give it a try. Was extremely satisfied with the outcome. This is one sturdy chair. I did protect the wood with a polyurethane stain and so far has survived all the rain and snow the mother nature had thrown at it. Again, I am not a skilled craftsman, but this wood was PERFECT for my need.

Half of a 2x4 isn't a 2x4

Absolutely terrible quality. 20% of the boards have half of their volume missing. 20% of the boards have splits that go over halfway thought the boards. 10% of them have knots missing from the board leaving gaping holes. If you get past the first half that are completely unfit for construction, good luck finding one that isn't warped, bucked, or twisted. This wood is so bad, I reccomend that the manufacturer be reported for false grading.
