Outstanding Performance, not flimsy going down when hammered with a rubber mallet.., place it down, push it to check for rocks, reposition if needed and use your rubber mallet to ensure is done. They hold well, you have to pay attention to how yo do the slopes higher areas first and then move down and tighten them down

Great little carpet stakes to hold my 6'x7' green grass carpet onto the ground for my garden area. Only complaint are these things are very greasy and your fingers and hammer to tap them in will get very black and slimy from them. Other than that, these are great for holding the carpet in place on the ground. The best soap I found that gets your fingers and hammer clean from the greasy residue is DAWN Dishwashing liquid, it'll clean you and your tools used right up. Just be sure to dry your tools thoroughly after washing. Washed the grease off in less than a few minutes using DAWN Dishwashing liquid.

These worked very well for holding down my landscaping fabric before applying the mulch!

These have proven to be the best quality for the price out here in the high desert. I continue to order them time and time again for projects. They are worth the little bit more wait than the rest to be delivered.

They probably work well in top soil. They do not work well if there is any gravel in your soil as they bend easily when they hit even small rocks. I wound up not using them due to this issue.

These are the larger stapes and are nice when using under stone, don't have to worry about the fabric coming up.

If you are looking for something that you can actually hit with a hammer, look elsewhere. These staples are very thin and therefore hard to get into any soil short of soft or mud.

This works very well to keep a small dog from digging under a fence.
