1. 3/4" Conduit Locknuts NOT INCLUDED so you must buy these separately to connect to your metal box. 2. You may need to put the compression nut and rubber compression fitting on the wire first. If the rubber compression fitting slides loosely, you'll need to add electrical tape to thicken the wire just below where you want the fitting to hold. Use two 10" crescent wrenches to get the compression fitting tight BEFORE attaching to the conduit box. This connector fits Southwire 10/3 SOOW cord (600v rated) very tightly so you'll need some mechanical pressure (like the edge of a table) to get the rubber fitting into position, no tape needed. For Southwire the slightly thinner 10/3 SJOOW cord rated for 300v max, you'll need to add electrical tape (three 6" pieces worked for me).

Beware, they are not compatible!
I bought several of these and ran short, so I went to the closest store and bought a couple more. The look identical. I ran the cables through them and leaving slack to do the difficult splices then pulled out the excess to fit the box. When I tried to screw on the compression caps, I discovered they are not thread compatible. The whole job was wasted.

It worked
Just another piece of China import. it's NOT A MADE IN U S A Appleton, or Hubbell or Crouse - Hinds, I can use it for the construction temp but it'll be replaced by MADE IN USA for the final cabinet assy.

No compression! Does not work!
This is rated for .580" to .625" cords, but when given a 3-conductor SOOW 12AWG service cord (about .600), the cord slips through but there is no strain relief when you tighten the nut. Useless! (Also doesn't come w/ locknut, which it should given the $.)

Poorly designed connector
Speaking from more than 40 years of industrial and commercial electrical experience, this is a poorly designed connector. The connector body is not made in a way that compresses the rubber grommet as you tighten the compression nut. Therefore, the strain is not relieved from the conductors, nor does the connector make the cord penetration weatherproof. I failed to open the package at the store to see if the connector body ID was tapered or not. Instead, it is straight-walled. Kind of pointless. This purchase turned out to be inconvenient and useless.

Almost good
Who thought it would be a good idea to not include the lock nut?! I didn't even think to look for it, so shame on me for not looking, but come on. This is kind of like buying a new car only to discover the engine isn't included. You can't use it without the nut! The product itself is fine, just incomplete.

Who thought it was a good idea not to include the lock ring? I was in a rush, and didn’t even think it wouldn’t be in the package. If I went to a supply house it would of been included!
