Save yourself the headache and frustration and do not buy this product. The paper backing on the tape does not peel away cleanly and leaves a very thin layer of leftover paper when peeled away. A 15 minute install turned into a 3 hour night of meticulously scraping paper that was left over from the paper backing in order to get the plastic wrap to adhere effectively. I will be staying far far away from this product unless they somehow manage to fix their tape problem.

On smaller windows dryer to tighten wasn't needed. On very cold metal window frames tape would not stick, needs to be above 40° but clear packing tape did work.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this product. I has to assemble the plastic myself and was worried that I would have trouble getting the plastic air-tight. Once I applied hot air to the edges, the plastic sealed and I can no longer feel cold air coming in through my window. Also, I can hardly tell that the plastic is covering the window, it is so clear and wrinkle-free.

I have been using it for over 30 years and it always does a great job.

I always buy 3M window Insulator plastic for my windows. But this year they must have changed the formula for the tape. IT IS AWFUL. Fortunately I had some leftover tape from previous years, but buyer beware if you don’t have other tape.

Old product, tape is terrible

I only got one choice of boxes to purchase. It isn't your fault, your salesman said that your shipment has not arrived yet as of mid-October and you're still waiting for a variety of 3M plastic to be delivered.

I love this window insulator, I use it everyday I keep the draft out.

I will not purchase frost king, this store does NOT offer 3M

3M always has great double sided tape and nice thick plastic to cover window. Seeing clearly out the window is great. Minn

Been using 3M for 20 years this year tape does not hold fiLm, total crap. Way to go 3M your value engineering has ruined your product and your reputation.

I bought several patio door insulation kits and I have never experienced this before. I CAN NOT remove the backing off the tape. I was hoping to get this project done and I couldn’t even get the first one started. I am very frustrated. I have used kits like these for years and have never had this problem. I spent the extra money to 3M due to good reviews and now I’m dead in the water and can’t use this nice day to get these windows done. Maybe a bad batch of tape this year!? Now I have to waste more time and money to go buy new rolls of tape. I am very unhappy about this.

Returned this one and got larger size. But on the larger size The tape was terrible. The top red paper would not peel off after you put on window so you could attach the plastic. Had to scrape off with a screw driver and then sometimes you ended up scraping the tape off. A fifteen minute job turned into two hours for one window!!!!

Worked fine. Everything was included to install on 2 windows. Install went smoothly and performed as it should.

Exactly as advertised to be.

I saw the blurb on the package saying that it covers 2 3X5 windows, so I assumed there were 2 pieces in the box. It's one big piece. I guess it's my own fault for assuming, but I won't buy it again. I prefer Frost King.

It reduces drafts reasonably well and the tape stays on the window frames.
