Disappointed ☹️
Second pair, I use them frequently and expect the earmuff pleather? To stay intact. It’s cheap and quickly comes off after use. I like the headphones, just wish more care was taken with choosing a stronger earmuff material. The black ring part that covers the foam, consistently fails.

    Awesome Ear Wear
    Excellent piece of equipment. Comfortable and ideal ear protection for any job as outside noise is isolated/reduced in lieu of being cancelled. They are also great for listening to music or "super hearing" mobile apps. Others around may hear sound if the volume of the source device is maxsed out. These headphones look awesome and are easily adjustable. With a superb battery life, they will outlast pretty much any occasion they are used for. Even with them being absent of volume adjusting and rewind/fast-forwarding, I give it five stars since I do not think they were made for music. Magnificent job, 3M!

      Two years in
      I've had these for two years and haven't had a single complaint until now. I hadn't even realized how weak the attachment point to the ear muffs were until I dropped them and one of them shattered. I guess I shouldn't expect them to last much beyond 2 years at this price point and I certainly haven't been easy on these. I did enjoy them and if I can't jury rig them i'll probably buy another set. Just don't like the waste.

        After 1 year of ownership, my honest opinion.
        I've been using these headphones in very high stress environments for at least a year now, I have zero complaints. They are pretty good and comfortable all day wearing for heavy equipment use like jackhammers and jumping compactors. The base is pretty weak, but that's okay with listening to podcasts as I do. Battery lasts a pretty significant amount of time and they have no issues in Dusty environments where respirator use is mandatory. Overall I would recommend these if you're looking for a balance of comfort and safety and feel confident in the five star review. I've seen a lot of reviews on here talking about the materials disintegrating, I have had zero issue with that. I want to leave a picture, these things are still in great shape.

          They were great, now useless.
          Loved them until the charging port fell out. I got them for Father’s Day a few years back and used them for all sorts of projects. Now the battery is dead and I cannot charge them. I would recommend you look elsewhere. Great while they lasted, but under my light use they quit way too early to get a decent review.

            Too bad these have had issues.
            I see that they've changed the design a little so that there is an angle where the wires enter the ear cups. I had 3 others that broke here, so hopefully this will allow this new pair to last a long time. We'll see.

              Don’t last long.
              This is my second pair to fail in the same spot. The wiring is prone to failure. They are great until the brittle/cheap wires break. Then you’re stuck with heavy ear muffs. I hope they improve the design and quality of the components.

                3rd pair, latest falls short on battery life
                Third pair over many years, I even sleep with these on they are that comfy (with gel cushion upgrade) The latest model has far superior bluetooth range (almost ridiculous range, didn't know bluetooth could go so far through so many walls) but... the battery doesn't last long at all. Prior models lasted over a week without needed recharge, now only a day. I measured the power it took to charge from "low battery shutdown" and it was ony 239mah I had read about poor battery performance in other reviews and thought they must have damaged the battery by leaving it at full discharge. Maybe they sell so many units a bad batttery is luck of the draw?

                  Owned 2. Both failed
                  The 3m Worktunes was recommended by a friend. After the 1st one failed within a year and 3m offered no resolve to the charging port breaking loose, I went ahead and paid for another pair. The 2nd pair lasted a year and will now not charge at all. No charging light. Just dead. Would be nice if 3m replaced the second pair

                    Almost indestructible
                    I bought my work tunes about 4 years ago. They have severed me very well. Even though 2 years ago though my daughter (not listening) put them on the trimmer rack on my open trailer instead of in the cab. I have a route I usually drive and where they fell off we are usually going about 60 mph. When I found them the next day they where scattered over 2 different yards ear muff here foam insert there. I was able to find almost all the pieces except the volume nobe and one of the speakers. Took it back home snapped it back together robbed a speaker out of another set that mostly destroyed and tada working again. These are pretty tuff to survive such a tumble and still work. I hate to work without them. Great product.

                      Great for mowing! (ears protected and great sound)
                      I got these for Father's Day in 2021 and use them for ear protection while I mow. They have been really great. I feel like they protect my ears well and they also are excellent for listening to music or a podcast while I mow. I used them on average of once per week from April - October. I also use them for shooting for ear protection. I used my airpods before but I couldn't hear the music/podcast while mowing. Also, I recently just upgraded my iPhone XR to an iPhone 13 Pro. I couldn't get the new phone or recognize the headphones. I called customer service and they were so very helpful. I just needed to quickly double tap the button on the side and it paired within seconds. I really enjoy these and they are perfect for me!

                        USB Charging Port Stopped Working
                        Received these a Christmas gift in 2020. After 1.5 years of light use, the USB charging port stopped working rendering them basically useless. I contacted 3M customer service expecting this to be a known issue. Despite all of the reviews here that document the same USB charging issue, the representative said she has never heard of this problem before. Read the reviews before buying and only expect a year of use. As you can see from the photos, my Worktunes are extremely well taken care of...

                          Great at first
                          Was really excited when I got these as I could listen to audio books while mowing. However the bluetooth function no longer works as it won't pair with my phone. Really disappointed.

                            Nice Headphones, but poor longevity
                            I bought these a little over a year ago (outside of the warranty period). I really enjoyed them, but the charging port broke which makes the Bluetooth very ineffective. I opened them up today to see if I could just re-secure the port, but it had broken off the board. They should have secured it a lot better or provided some additional support so it wouldn't brake off. The price was pretty high for a pair of non Bluetooth ear protectors which is what this ended up being.

                              Great until they're not
                              Like other reviews, mine had the wires fray at the ear cups. I've had for 14 months, so now they're out of warranty of course. They were also a gift so I definitely don't have the receipt anyway. A problem as common as this should be fixed/replaced without a receipt and regardless of the length of time owned. I didn't read all the reviews but the ones I did read all frayed between 12 and 18 months. So, out of the warranty period anyway. I did love these. They worked and sounded great. But if I'm going to have to be buying a new pair every 14 months, I think I'll just grab another brand that may last longer.

                                Wiring flaw going into ear muff
                                These are actually a great product when they work well, but this is the 2nd pair that I have gotten that developed this problem. The wiring at the grommet that goes into the left side ear muff is extremely weak and will start to break with normal wear. The wiring just bends at that point and will just one day stay become intermittent and then finally just fail. I called customer service August 24th 2021 (Case # 26193720) and was sent a new pair. This pair is now the ones that are failing. I have also noticed that my batter when fully charged will only identify as being at medium charge.

                                  Remove batteries!
                                  The product works good sounds good don't leave the batteries in it they will drain constantly volume could be a little louder and the stations will not unprogram from the memory also the ear foam wears out fairly quick, overall these work pretty well but need improvement.

                                    Great headphones/hearing protection
                                    A coworker suggested these to me. They are popular here at work.. Love the headphones. I would like to get the pads for the ears replaced. Mine fell apart after a fair amount of use.

                                      Great Head Set, Didn’t hold up well
                                      I experienced the same issue with the charging plug that one other review explained. Mine are about a year old and the charging plug in the headset came loose then pulled right out. I own many 3M products and they all stood up to time.

                                        Best bluetooth muffs, but they don't last
                                        I love mine, all three pairs I've had in the last two and a half years. They just are not built well enough to last more than a year in a workshop environment using on a daily basis. I somehow shoved the connection for the charging cord up into the headphones on the first pair. The wire connections come loose in months. I'm at a loss.

                                          They had a great product an absolutely ruined it
                                          They had a great product an absolutely ruined it used to you could hear yourself talk, and could hear the people on the other end absolutely perfect, now this new model I tried three of the Bluetooth models and returned them each time thinking it was a defective unit because you couldn’t hear the people and you cannot hear yourself talking on it so therefore you’re yelling to try to talk to them, and you have to go to a quiet room to be able to hear them, however the Bluetooth feature is justFine, I got a different version which offers AM/FM and Bluetooth and it had the same problem, and I had to buy an extra battery and now within two months the charging port has went out I’m taking this garbage back

                                            Really good ear muffs but fragile charging port
                                            I have been using these for over 2 years without issue. I absolutely love them and were used for mowing the lawn, using the table saw, power washer, tractor work, etc... After work was finished for the day went to plug them to charge and the micro USB port broke and fell into the housing rendering the charge port useless. I could hear it rattling around inside the headphones, With the headset out of warranty, I decided to crack it open to see if I could fix it. They were easy to open and discovered the USB port broke off of the circuit board. There was little to no bracing inside the case holding the charge port in place, just the solder connecting the micro USB port onto the circuit card. For such a critical piece of the entire package, better care should have been taken to ensure the overall rigidity of the charge port. A few very small solder joints are not adequate for such an important and very frequent piece of the package.. I will purchase a replacement next trip to hardware store (they are that good). Just use care when plugging them in, the charge port is extremely fragile now that I see how it is connected. My next pair I will open and use something to brace the charge port better, maybe a big dab of hot glue??.

                                              Lacking quality
                                              First set made 13 months until one side quit working. Decided to purchase another set, ultimately handled the new pair very cautiously. It's been 6 months and the wire covering on both sides have failed.

                                                Same complaint with the wires
                                                I bought this even though a lot of the complaints are about the wires. Trying to be as careful not to bend them, the outer black sheeting still is breaking and one side it cutting out at times. Not a bad product to use at all. Hands free music and phone calls, just this problem. Hopefully it will be made tougher next design.

                                                  I've had these for about a year, not used heavily and they started shutting off randomly and not turning on. I opened them up and 2 of the tiny wired had pulled themselves out of their solders. Definitely not built for longevity.

                                                    Great all around heatset once I modded it.
                                                    Bluetooth range is average. Comfort is good on my big head. Doesn't block all outside noise but I pare these with foam earplugs and some soft instrumental music to totally block out the world. The mic was the only issue.I had to practically yell to be heard and any ambient noise made it worse. So I trimed, formed, and glued a piece of 1/4" diameter air line over the mic. Put a small piece of foam in it and installed a cap on the end with a small hole drilled in it. Now I can talk at a normal level and still be heard even with loud ambient noise. 3M should make something like this.

                                                        Don't Drop Them
                                                        Received as a Christmas gift. I gave up buying them when the first two pair I owned (10 years ago or so) the plastic around the ear cracked, deteriorated and fell apart. This pair I dropped once and as you can see one of the pieces which holds the muff to the frame broke. Completely useless now. The old pairs never broke, just disintegrated. Probably need to go back to your old source for the plastic.

                                                          I bought this aprx. 5 months ago I have worn them 3 times working in my yard they work great with my Samsung android but the ear padding is decomposing at a very fast rate i have worn for aprx. 6 hours total and its not even hot outside yet my sweat is not poison
