I used this to mount my ring doorbell on. The area where the old doorbell was did not have the ability to see the walk and would have been very limited in the view. By placing this box on the wall I was able to setup the camera to see the walk as well as the door

Sturdy, perfect for outdoor

Purchased this to mount Schneider Electric's Square D HEPD 80 Home Electronics Protective Device (surge arrester), also purchased from The Home Depot as Schneider's installation kit was not available anywhere. I bored about a 7/8" hole through one side of the box, the side without the mounting ears for parallel sides, mounted the SPD inside, just back slightly from the front, and using a liquid-tight 1' +/- connector kit carrying the wires to the electrical panel box. The Cantex Corlon 4X4X4 box was mounted to the adjacent stud and worked out just fine, with the correct depth for 2X4 wall (3-1/2") with 1/2" sheet rock so the face of the box is flush with the surface of the sheet rock...nice!

I installed 2 - 1/2 inch adapters by drilling holes so I could connect 1/2 inch conduit to run 16 gauge wire for solar power to a entrance gate. This box was perfect for the job.
