These cedar 4x4 posts were easy to cut, drill and screw into. They also look great as the main focal point of my patio roof frame. Since they aren't pressure treated and saturated with liquid chemicals, they did soak up a lot more stain than the other pressure treated lumber I used on this project. Be aware that they are rough sawn and do not have the same outside dimensions as standard PT 4x4's (these measured 3.75" x 3.75"). Most "standard" hardware such as post bases and caps won't fit. I went with a 2 piece style post base to compensate for the difference,
Pros: High Quality of Material, Easy to Install, Stylish, Light Weight, Good Shape
Cons: potential hardware fit up issues
