Unfortunately, with hollow core doors you have to be very care how much you trim off the top, bottom and sides to get them to fit your actual door opening. The manufacture needs to specify how much the door can be trimmed on each side so you don't accidentally trim too much and ruin the door.

Good quality doors for the price. I install them in place of bi-fold doors for my clients. I dress them up with picture frame cabinet moulding. One issue is that occasionally they will warp top-to-bottom, and they have to be closely looked-over when purchasing to avoid getting scratched or dented corners.

This a very poor slab door. I had to buy 2 of these since they puncture so easily. The inside is nothing but cardboard. I looked at the solid core ones but they weigh a ton. They used to be lighter and constructed much better. The hollow core ones are cheap cardboard with a 1/32 layer of something that resembles wood grain on the outside. Hope Depot needs to expand it's selection of slab doors.

  • No lock block

The description mentions there being a lock block for the door knob to screw into but both doors we installed did not have it. Perhaps bad luck twice but didn't seem like it was on the other side either. Otherwise we were able to make some small trims under a half inch without issue.

Manufactured to be cheap:Inch on the vertical edges is only real wood in it. Bottom and top edges are pressed sawdust. Drill through the micro veneer luan top/bottom pressboard for the door handle and it is chipped wood underneath. Main door cavity area supported by cardboard. Not a quality door.

The price was reasonable. I didn't notice until I had installed it that the door was slightly warped. We had already bored for knob, mortised for hinges and painted so I didn't want to return it and do all of that over again.

The door is fine as a replacement for an interior door. It was easy for the building superintendent to trim to the right size (29.5" x 80"), add hinges, and drill the hole for the door knob and lock using separate guide. The color of the wood is fine without staining or painting.

Simple basic door, do wish they had stickers easier to remove, also there is a difference in sides only one side of the door is truly set up for door lock set.

I bought (3) of the 30" doors to act as table tops in a construction office and they worked great. No defects in material and the corners were square, so not much left to consider in a slab door.
