Absolutely horrible flooring. You can't even scoot a lundry basket over it without putting scratches following the path which it took. Son moved the ottoman over to the couch and it was a horrid site. Stay away from cheap Allure and buy a better brand.

Looks great but it’s cheap and flimsy
The underlayment... or should I say what underlayment? Why there is no foam underlayment attached to this is beyond me.. this is complete and utter garbage. If you plan on putting this product anywhere of high foot traffic areas, have fun listening to feet stomping around.. there is no sound dampening on this as the bottom of the product is straight plastic. Garbage and cheap. Black Oak Vinyl planks are way far superior to this even though they’re the same color the build material is better on the Home Decorator’s Black Oak. The only people writing good reviews on this product are people that have no clue what they’re doing and think it “looks good” but don’t have a clue what else is out there...

Contractor installed this in my kitchen. Said worst floor he ever installed. Edges would not click or go together. Was a constant fight. Had for a few months and seams coming apart like others have said. Did lifeproof in my basement and no problems (done by same contractor). Bad product. Wasted $3000 already want to just rip it out. HORRIBLE

Excellent. Love the color but was worried about small crevices in the flooring and yes...one has to work hard to remove any spills or dirt to get it out of these indents.Overall...easy to install.

Horrible. Scratches very easy and locks keep breaking
Absolutely horrible flooring. I have installed thousands of sq ft of vinyl plank flooring a d this has to be the worst to install. Locking sides and ends break very easy and some were not even cut right. I was too far into installing when I noticed over 30 places where end locking were breaking as I was stepping on them. Had Allure inspector come out told me he didn't know why they were breaking, told me I had done nothing wrong when he watched me install them and then got the report that it was basically my fault why they broke.

I picked this floor from a picture, they didn't have a sample but that didn't matter. I did it all myself! It was challenging but it looks great! I love it, and so did everyone! I started to run low, cut off the tongue on a few and pieced a few together, that worked well, no one can tell, just me! Lol I love the light and dark in the planks and I think it looks great when you have a white kitchen like I do!

This flooring installs fairly easily without glue or any fasteners. On large open areas, it installs quickly. Square cuts are easily made by scoring with a utility knife and snapping the material. It is a little hard to cut complex shapes, which can slow you down around doors and corners, but complex cuts can be made with a scroll saw and a fine tooth blade. I like the flooring because it looks like a rustic floor, but does not feel rough or have gaps. Even when assembling with a rubber mallet that marks everything else I hit with it, this floor does not mark. I installed some of this flooring in my home office that is 5 years old, it shows little to no wear even where my rolling chair is. Based on the wear resistance, I decided to put it in my living room, kitchen and dining area, bathrooms, and laundry room. I like how it has water proof joints, and it fits very tightly together with virtually invisible seams. Sometimes it takes hard consistent pressure to get the sheets to lock all the way down, but it is worth the effort to fully remove the gaps. I also noticed that the floor is warmer to bare feet in the winter than my old linoleum, it must have some insulative value. You do have to be careful when handling it so that you do not break off the sealing rubber lip along the edges. The rubber can also be torn when removing a piece for trimming and fitting if the piece is not carefully removed. All in all a great product that has really improved the looks of my home.

Product is great, easy to install, very durable once placed. It's fairly fragile before it's installed as I purchased 11 boxes and 2 of them were heavily damaged during the shipping process. All 10 pieces per box had the corners all broken off. Being special order I returned them to the store for them to say "sorry" refunded my money and that I need to go reorder the 2 boxes online again. I guess I'll just have to hope the other boxes don't come damaged and now my couple day project has turned into a couple week project.

I installed a little 1000 sq. ft. of this stuff. I waited over a year to post this review to see how this stuff holds up. Installation: In my opinion, incredibly easy. Our sub-floor took some considerable preparation, but once that was done this stuff went down very easily. It's very easy to cut and snapped together easily. Impression: It looks great. We get so many compliments on this floor. People are very impressed by it. It also holds up to a lot of abuse, in my opinion. With two toddlers and a very messy/energetic dog, this floor has held up miraculously. Longevity: This is why I give it 3-stars. For some reason, after a year, there are slight bulges on end-seams (where the short-sides meet). I've installed enough flooring to know what I'm doing and followed the installation instructions to the letter, and I still can't explain why these slight bulges are appearing. I've only noticed 3, but that's 3 too many.

Far from being "the easiest flooring you'll ever install" this product has turned into my longest renovation nightmare. I purchased 25 boxes in 2014 and have since found that the joints do not stay together as advertised, end joints are coming up and there are unsightly gaps between planks throughout. This is a well-documented problem and the company has not honored the warranty. I highly recommend staying away from this product.

I installed about 720 square feet of this product throughout a 1-bedroom apartment. It looked beautiful for about a week and then planks began to split in various but prominent places. I installed over hardwood and vinyl floors. It shouldn't have been a problem according to manufacturer guidelines. There goes about $1200 and a several days of labor down the tube. Home Depot or the manufacturer would not stand behind their product and this customer has taken a huge hit for an inferior product. Proceed at your own risk.

The flooring looks nice once in place. I did have issues with about 2/3’s of what I bought being either damaged in shipping or having manufactures defects. I was still able to use most of the damaged flooring against the walls were I had to cut the ends off to stagger the joints. I recommend buying a tapping block, I also used a 2 sided hammer with one face being plastic and the other a hard rubber.

                    My new go-to flooring.
You will not be disappointed when you spend the extra money on this. I have this in our office and multiple rent houses; will use it going forward. No more carpet, no more laminate. Laminate is ok until some drags something heavy, harder to remedy than vinyl plank. Vinyl is waterproof, won’t bubble like laminate. Installation of vinyl is more tedious though as the joints are very tight spec/narrow. Overall great product.

I installed the floor 1/2/2018. The room is a small computer room. The overall look of the finished job, we are pleased with. The installation was, for the most part, easy. The product cut and broke easily after scoring twice with a utility knife. One problem that I ran into was, after installing five rows I noticed some of the long joints opening slightly. I called tech @ their 800 number, and was told to place painters tape at the end of each joint to keep them together until the floor was completed. After redoing about five rows, this suggestion worked well. It would have been nice to have had this suggestion in the directions. The only other reason for four stars was, the floor is a product of China. The floor has yet to be battle tested, so I can't comment on it's durability.

I would rate this product a 4 out of 5. I decided to install it myself and it was a bit tricky to get the planks to go together correctly. If you didn't have all the planks in one row lined up perfectly, it impacts the placement and seams in the other rows. You will need to take your time to get the situated properly. Other than that, the planks break easily if you score them a few times with a knife and use a straight edge at the break point. Once done, it looks great. Only been done for a month, so difficult to say how it will hold up.in the traffic areas. I did put felt pads under all the furniture just in case it gets moved.

We considered using this material or hardwood in our new home throughout the first floor & we chose the Allure Ultra. We are SO DISAPPOINTED. If you have windows in the room where you're laying the floor & any heat comes through the windows, the floors will bulge. In our great room we have a wall of windows & the direct sunlight causes the floors to raise up 6" at the hottest time of the day, and yes, we have central air conditioning kept at 69 all year round. We end up shutting our shades daily to reduce this issue which is not ideal considering we live on a lake & enjoy looking outside. The floors expand & contract throughout the year, which has left large seams in between the planks. When we first put the floors down, there were no seams whatsoever, & everything clicked together perfectly. Now, there are seams throughout the floors where it looks like the planks are coming apart. And yes, we waited well over 48 hours for the planks to adjust to the temperature in side our house before laying them. The planks absolutely scratch. But they are waterproof & the color is exactly what we wanted. Overall, we feel like we made such a huge mistake by installing these floors in our new home.

This flooring looks great...its definitely waterproof but it is VERY hard to put down (hence 4 stars vs. 5) Especially the first couple of rows...I found that once you have the first 2 rows tight, it helped to screw the plank (s) down, on the edges, where the baseboard will cover the hole that was made. Screwing it down gave some stability, and after the floor is laid they are easily removed...Also; these do chip on the edges!! I used a regular hammer because a mallet didn’t offer enough pressure, So take care if you need to use a hammer too as these DO CHIP! I used this flooring in a dog room, Its definitely waterproof. I am a female and i was able to lay a 11 x 10 room in one day, by myself. After spending a ridiculous amount of time on the first two rows, it went down fairly smoothly and quickly.. WEAR KNEEPADS!!!

This is exactly what I wanted for our basement/husband's office. It was time to remove the old carpet and remodel. I was referred by my SIL to get this flooring since he did his house and we are really pleased on how easy it looked to install (I just observed) :-)) Once you get the first row level, the rest is history. The cutting of the pieces with a razorblade is an installers wish come true. I love the look and color of the Oak Medium. Our basement is a high traffic area for dogs and adults and this will be so much easier to clean. You wont be disappointed if you are looking for a maintenance free floor.
