Easy to install, easy to cut to required size. I have not been able to stain it yet, I'm sure it is going to work well.

we have used these rails on several decks and they look great an so far hold up well. only detriment is that they only come in 6ft lengths... 8 t length would make for less waste, especially at the price, @ $74 in Maine..

said not to take straps off until installed but we found it too complicated to cut to length without taking it apart. Just to hard to manage to get cuts correctly done. We numbered the spindels to make sure we put them back into the same hole as well as marked each end cut with the receiving post. I took it apart last night and will paint the two rails (well 10 of them actually, 5 sections) in no time at all. Very happy with outcome so far! Dave L Essex, VT

I used this product in the construction of a handicapped ramp for my church. The fact that the railing totally disassembles easily made the miter cuts, following the 7.5% ramp incline, much easier. The down side is that the wood has been milled to the point that it is much narrower than 1 1/2 inches and thus does not fit tightly in the plastic hangers (also a great product). Anyone purchasing this product should realize that there may be some cutting required in order for the top rail to fit over the hanger.

We removed our old back deck and put down pressure treated wood. We then purchased this product. It looks absolutely AMAZING. We had purchased the 6 foot railings assembled and the 6 foot railings for the stairs we assembled ourselves. If you purchase the assembled just leave the straps attached, don’t cut them until you screw the railing into the posts. The straps hold the top and bottom rails together with the balusters. Cut the straps after securing the railings. This product is wonderful. Absolutely Happy with the product. We also purchased top caps and wood skirts for the bottom of the posts. They aren’t on this photo because they will go on after we stain the wood.

Rail sections were warped and twisted even though delivered wrapped in plastic, and therefore very difficult to install squared and level between posts. Also, the instructions never mentioned not to remove strapping holding top and bottom rails together until AFTER installed between posts, as the aluminum spindles are loose. From a distance the railing looks great.
