These units are made with very thin plastic. Two pieces were broken when we received our unit. I called their Customer Service as there was a note in the box to call before returning to store. They offered to send another unit but after seeing the quality I opted to return to the store. I purchased a Vornado humidier for less money and the build quality difference is amazing.

Gets moldy quickly .. had for about a month .. see your ship date.

We found the unit on the furnace undependable so went to this free-standing unit. It keeps the humidity up all winter in our 3-bedroom home. These wicks work great but need to be replaced two or three times every winter. Simple task, works great.

What I needed when I needed it. Delivery was excellent.

Fit just like original

My recommendation of this product comes with some reservations. I've used these wicks for several years, and they don't seem to last as long as they used to. I used to get 2-3 months out of them, but now they lose their wicking ability and start to mold and smell after just 5-6 weeks. We don't have hard water. Replacing them every 5-6 weeks gets expensive. I have two humidifiers, which means close to $40 a month. I may go back to using vaporizers.

Bought and put this brand new wick inside of a brand new Aircare humidifer, and it started growing black mold spots within 1 week. Definitely not a maintenance or care issue when the humidifier and wick were both brand-new, never used. Aircare seems to have some quality control or supply problems this year as I've seen other reviews with the exact same problems in the last few months.

It dropped right in and seems to be working fine.
