These began slowly failing to absorb and wick the water after just ONE WEEK, and by the end of two weeks had completely stopped wicking the water. At that rate we would have to buy approximately 10 filters to get through the cold months of running the furnace, and would cost us almost $300 per season to humidify our small house. I wrote to the company a month ago with the same information and received no response. VERY frustrated and disappointed.

Hi, Emray. Thank you for reaching out to us. We recommend replacing the wicks every 30-60 days. Your results will depend on the type of water you have and how well you maintain your humidifier. If you have an excessive amount of mineral build up in the wick due to your water, you can try placing some white distilled vinegar in your water – this will help break down some of those minerals. One teaspoon of vinegar per gallon of water is the recommended application. Feel free to call us at the number found on the back of your unit or in your owner’s manual if you’d like more information on caring for your wick or to see if your wick is still covered under warranty. Our office hours are 7:30 am – 5:30 pm CST, Monday through Friday. Thanks! - Lisa, Team AIRCARE
