I very was disappointed. Ivory color was unavailable and gray and white stripe was not either. The gray is very, very dark. It is too late to return for another color as the cloth was installed on the rollers before I saw it. We also wanted a very light color. Not good for Florida sun, the awning provides no cooling but rather intensifies the heat. Disappointed. Far too dark in color. The product came with a part that was not illustrated in any of the instructions. I tried "chat"; I tried email; No one could answer the question what it was and where it went. I am lucky that my husband is mechanically inclined or the 5 hours he put into it would have been double that or more. Also fortunate that there are a couple people that took time to video and post on youtube their assembly. When we unfurled it, the arms/extenders do not straighten out all the way and the awning bounces in the breeze. It remains to be seen how durable it is in summer squalls and intense sun. Previous to the awning, we mounted a sailboat mast parallel to the ground and had a main sail as shade. I think I prefer it to this purchase.

Awning is completely disassembled with instructions that are impossible to follow. I regret purchasing this lousy product, but the good thing is that it’s so poorly made that I will soon need to purchase mother one. As they say, you get what you pay for.

Finally got it together and put up but the instructions were no help. Very confusing!

Installed and removed twice. Directions are exceptionally poor. Called customer service once and they were helpful but the discriptions and info provided by company did not fully explain install requirements. I could not install the awning where I wanted it but could not confirm it until I had actually installed one. I purchased 2, installed and removed one and returned both.

This would have reflected a "5" if it were not for the instructions furnished A real place to start with a frame of reference. Are you looking at it from the rolled out side or the attachment to house side. Then left is left and not right.

Worst instructions EVER. Piece broke early into installation. We took it back and did not want another one!

The instructions are awful and we had to use a makeshift wider cord as the cord provided was so thin the fabric did not stay in the roller bar and pulled right through. Also when rolled out it is not tight like pictured. It is very saggy. We spent 2 days to get this thing up and decently working which is the only reason I did not take it down and rip apart to return.

Parts brake easily. Not sturdy.

good product. went up pretty easy (for sure you need two people to mount to wall). needed to install pole supports and used ratchet straps to support and secure the unit when fully opened. Any wind without them was a little scary. For the size, it is safer anyway and was simple to do.

faded after one season (summer) swag not even with awning huge wrinkle in center this is pure junk

The awning is of decent quality, but the installation instructions are AWFUL. There should be pictures of the finished install.

The thread on the main bolt hole for the left arm was stripped... I had to purchase additional tools and bolt. Also, instructions are poor. Thankful for YouTubers

Looks and works great, installation was easy, but it’s a 2 person job.

Awning needs the leg pole support. Why sell the it without them!

Directions were hard to follow and there was a quality control issue with frame (main channel was oversized). Once installed unit works fine.

It’s a good awning, nothing wrong with it, when it hangs! Installation was a pain! Instructions were minimal and it took us a whole day......

Very impressive product on internet, it arrive on time but unfortunately for job issues I can't install it when it arrives, after few months my son and I start open the box and check parts with install manual (no very good instructions for assembly) after start we found many parts with small damaged (all this is aluminium) at the end we found a damaged part that didn't allows to continue, after several email and phone calls nobody answer us, for that we repair the damaged part to install the Awning before storm season. at the end it works great and we are so happy to repair and installation, I recommended it but hope all parts are ok when you receive it.

They don't tell you in the specs before you buy it that you have to buy extended brackets to mount it if you are putting it on the front of you're eve and you have a gutter there. It won't mount without the extended brackets and they are 35$ a peice. And you need three of them.

I absolutely LOVE this product! I had a gazebo on my patio, but the constant shade made it a cold, wet, breeding ground for mosquitos. This awning cost LESS money than a new gazebo, it looks great on the side of my home, and we can enjoy the sun OR the shade! This is made with quality materials! I expect it to last a long time. The instructions were not the best, but certainly NOT as bad as everyone has mentioned in the comments! It basically comes in half pieces which you assemble to make on full-length product. I assembled and hung the thing myself!However, the reason why I’m taking away a star...I tried to call Aleko customer service a number of times, also emailed them, and NEVER received a response! So if you do have any issues, I would not expect any customer service from their end.

We had such hopes for this awning. What a nightmare. Horrible assembly process and instructions. I don't see this awning lasting very long. Doesn't roll up properly. Really wanted to love it but sadly do not :(
