  • Rats wont fall for this

Maybe Chicago rats are hip to rat traps, but they just chewed a hole thru the bottom to get to the peanut butter and didnt even bother entering the tube. The traps are so light, they dragged them all over the yard. I cant even find one of the traps anymore.

Rats are very smart critters. I had no confidence in this rat trap as soon as I opened up the box. I put it out where they come from the bushes at the front of the house. The rats sneak through them to feed on the bird seed and shelled peanuts I put out for the birds and squirrels. I don't want to stop feeding them so it's important to me to feed them. Well the rat traps were ignored even though I put extra crunchy peanut butter in it. I do not recommend purchasing this product.

Cons it's too small, it doesn't work.

Instructions for set up were unclear. Once assembled, there was no activity in or around the area of the trap. Going back to the conventional traps.

This is a vey unique trap which kills with a tight rubber band that snaps over a rodent's neck or body and then expels the rodent from the trap after it's triggered. I have it set up and baited with peanut butter but I'm still anxiously waiting for the first kill. It comes with 12 rubber bands. I don't know if you can buy replacement bands or if you will just have to pitch it after 12 kills and buy a new one. But for the price, 12 kills is a great value. I found the instructions a little difficult to understand so I had to look up a video online to be sure I set it up properly. Once I figured it out it was easy to set up.

The premise is great. I tried it out with a tube to see how it works. I have yet to kill an actual rat.
