This is an amazing ant killer! I had three harvester ant colonies, they are worst then fire ants. i put it after 5pm and they were all dead the next day. Not even one left! I can't put a price on the product !

This stuff works great! Each spring, we are plagued with several large ant colonies that crop up in various locations throughout our lawn. I just sprinkle this around each opening in a colony, and typically by the next day, all activity in the colony has ceased.

Absolutely useless on carpenter ants. The ants walked right through several lines I put down. I even tried mixing some powdered sugar in it. Waste of money.

I have used this product and the Amdro fire ant killer. Neither is effective at all. The ants take the granules and pile them up like other sand granules. They don't take it into the mound at all.

Carpenter ants just kept walking past the bait. Disappointed.

Had a constant problem with tiny ants getting in the house. They looked like the little "sugar ants" that Terro liquid bait works on, but these guys move slower. Terro didn't work on them. I'd find where they get in, seal it up, but they would just find another tiny crack to get in over and over. I went to get granular diazinon I usually use around the home perimeter which works okay. Saw this and thought maybe I should get something specific for ants. I poured some of the Amdro on and around where I spotted a few places the ants were coming in. In 24 hours they were gone. ALL of them. This stuff works crazy-good and I didn't even have to use very much. Ants are out of my house!

Amdro Ant Block WORKS! You will see that it does INSTANTLY IF ANTS ARE PRESENT where you are dosing it. I noticed ants were entering my property through a pvc drain pipe at the base of my rock wall. I put down another brand of ant bait and also used a premise spray along their path as they traveled the rocks' ledge. A few days later when I came back to see if they'd been killed out--NOPE. Survivors were there again. I repeated the same treatment. No results. Today I sprinkled some Amdro granules in my hand and placed them directly in the ants' path along the wall and also on the runner of a fence....IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION using very little product---Unlike the other brand of bait that was completely ignored, I could actually watch the ants sense the Amdro, change course and immediately go to it and either began to feed on it or carry it off. INSTANTLY. Ten minutes after beginning to write this review, I took the accompanying picture--one of the many feeding frenzies going on. I've used Amdro in the past and was happy with.....I have NO IDEA why I ever purchased another brand.

Works very well keeps ants out all year its a wonderful product. It is highly recommend. I have been using it for a few years now.

This product is amazing , it keeps the ants from coming inside the house. Safe to use with pets in the house. Very happy with the results.

A MILLION STARS!!! This ad is not sponsored (but Amdro, if you would like to pay me, no one here would mind.) I moved into a basement apartment in a city and was not at all prepared for the ant heck I entered into. Everything about this place was perfect, except tiny, hungry black ants were literally POURING from the floors and wall. Every morning I would wake up, sleepily walk to get coffee, and SCREAM when I saw what new location had turned into ant paradise island over night. They were in the floors. They were in the walls. They were EVERYWHERE. I set liquid traps, sprayed, prayed, almost cried. Sealed holes and cracks.... Still ants. I considered moving. This was the big guns for me. The liquid baits kind helped, but were also messy and disgusting. These granules I poured around the outside of my unit as well as behind the oven and a couple other very hidden places inside. Then In waited... Still suffering from ant trauma, every spec was closely inspected. Over the next week every day the ants disappeared. I AM SO HAPPY. THANK YOU POISON! Seriously, this was driving me out of my mind. I still see a couple ants a day and it's been less than a week. This is compared to the hundreds to thousands I was seeing a day. Die! Die! Die! This is the killer for you. >:)

A gew years ago, when I first started using Amdro Ant Block, the fire ants would go right to the bait and eat it. Now it seems like they are mostly disinterested. But, the next day the line of ants is either gone or mostly diminished. So, I guess it's working.

This product works great! I sprayed the foam all around the house and so after it disappered. It was kind of sticky. The foam was white and I could see right where I was spraying with the long stick it came with. I started first before I laid my landscape fabric down. I sprayed the entire house around the ground. Wish I had a second can to spray the doors and windows. I got this can as a sample and I am glad I did. I will buy a couple cans of this on the weekend. It seemed to kill the ants fast and now they don't cross the line. I am a big new fan of this. Wish I had this years ago. It sure will save me money because now I dont need to buy gallons of bug killer anymore.

This is the second year that I purchased Amdro. It works like a charm, I sprinkle it around the perimeter of the house, when the ground start to warm up. I repeat after it rains, and then repeat it about 2 to three time. I can say that my ant problem is none.

Overall, I believe this product works well. The cost is a bit on the high side. I use it on fireants that migrate from the neighbors yard. I am not sure if the product kills the ants but it does helps move them out of the our yard.

After several consecutive years of AMPRO Ant Block Home Perimeter Ant Bait being my go-to product for the successful control of the ant population around my home, it has finally failed me. In fact, the ants have no interest in the granules whatsoever, and they have now rerouted their trails around the granules, even making new holes (a couple feet away from the original holes) for entering and exiting their underground nests. At first I thought perhaps they were avoiding the granules because the container had been opened in mid-spring, and the label says to use within 90 days of opening. So I moved on to “Plan B” and bought a fresh container. I swept and tried to remove as much of the ‘old’ bait as possible prior to spreading the new batch. From experience, I know it does not take long for the ants to find, and alert others, of this new food source, so I waited, and waited...and waited. In fact, this is day number 3, and I am still waiting for something that usually only takes a couple of minutes to a couple of hours to happen. I suppose I could continue waiting (and hoping), but meanwhile, these critters seem to be growing in numbers and they’re now trailing up my walls to the roof. To say I am disappointed with AMPRO Ant Block’s performance this time would be an understatement. I guess I need to figure out a “Plan C” and hope for success.

I was expecting better results, i still see a lot of ants around after 2 weeks of the application of the product.

I have been applying this product to a red ant mound for almost two weeks now and see little result. In the attached picture some ants are dead but others are still moving around and going in and out of the hive entrance. Ants are still present daily so I guess it is not doing what it advertises by killing the nest. It does kill the ants that come in contact with the bait but the workers must not be taking it into the nest. I have tried putting more of the product around the mound but that did not seem to help so today I just scattered it in case I was applying to much. Now I will have to purchase another product.

I have used Amdro for ants for many years. It really works. I sprinkle it around the outside edge of my yard and then along the house edge. Be sure you put it close to your house too or the ants will head for the "indoors" and you will need to take care of that. The crumbs of Amdro are small enough they fall through the rocks or through the grass so there is no problem with pets.

It seems granular ant bait is just me feeding the Yellowjackets. Apparently the presence of Yellowjackets keeps ants from feeding on the bait so I have no idea if this would’ve been effective. I think I will have to try a non-repellent spray or liquid.

Followed the very well written instructions and by the one week mark I could see a huge decline in activity around the dirt mound. By week two, the ants were completely gone.

Ants gone in a few days.

Best thing for killing entire colonies of ants. Get rid of the ants and your oleanders will not suffer aphid damage.

I have used this brand with good results however under the new packaging I only received a half a bottle for the price so I will be moving to a new brand
