I've been punching holes in the ground using post hole diggers for a lot of years. I have never broken a handle until yesterday. This Anvil digger is cheaply made and didn't last through one hole. Granted, the Texas ground here is nasty, but the digger should not have broken that quickly. When I return it we will see if HD stands behind the junk they sell.
many years ago I worked for a fencing company and installed many miles of fence, so I'm familiar with diggers and have certain expectations for them. The ANViL diggers a do not meet those standards. Within TWO, yes TWO holes the metal bent and left them useless. I hammered them back into shape and by the middle of the fourth hole they bent again. I still have FIFTY holes to go and stuck with bent diggers. Spend the extra and get a good pair
I tested the 3 from HD. I chose this one because was the steady one and the handles are strong, not too heavy or light. I'm 58 lady and is heavy enough that make the job easy for me for planting, better than shovel.
I love it, satisfaction warrantied and recommended.
