I purchased the ROES-PH75 system because I don't like the Florida water. The installation was easy with good instructions. After the installation I had to flush the system 3 times before the water would run crystal clear. I tested the water with a TDS meter. The inlet water was 164 ppm and 328 us/cm. The outlet water was 20 ppm and 40 us/cm and tastes fine. The bottled water I was buying tested at 19 ppm and 38 us/cm. When I was done with the job I left paper towels beneath the filter rack and tubing connectors to detect any tiny leaks. I thought for sure the quick connect fittings for the tubing would leak but it's been 2 weeks and everything is dry. I let the filter rack free stand on the floor of the cabinet and didn't cut the length off of any of the 1/4" plastic tubing. It allows me to pull the filter rack out of the cabinet when I'm ready to change the filters without disconnecting the tubing. When you connect the drain saddle to the sink drain pipe you have to drill a 1/4" hole in the sink drain pipe and then line it up with the hole in the drain saddle. I shined a flash light down into the sink drain to make it easier to line up the holes. Note that to get 1 gal of RO water you have to drain 3 gals. It's still less expensive than buying bottled water. I took some pictures so you can get an idea of how much room it takes under the sink. The rough dimensions of the 4 gal tank and filter rack are : Tank -11" wide x 17" high w/valve, filter rack - 18" high x 15" long x 5 1/2" deep.

Decided to install this myself while hubby was at work (I am 57 yr old woman with no prior plumbing experience). The instructions were pretty complete and although I was a little nervous about using a drill on the drain pipe (never used one of those before either!) I was able to complete the installation in about 2 hours or so. I did need to have hubby help me to tighten the faucet part as I needed another set of hands for that, but otherwise everything went pretty smooth. I did have one small drip from the T connection but I just had to take off and redo and that seemed to take care of it.

I mounted this on a table instead of under the sink. Easy to assemble, all of the filters were already connected together. It is free standing - no shelf or brackets needed. I over tightened the connector on the tank and broke it. I ordered a new one and it came quickly. When I put the unit in service there was a small leak on a connector from one of the filters. The company rushed a new filter to me at no charge. Produced 5 ppm RO on first use. I would buy this unit again.

I live in Florida, tap water is not drinkable and tastes disgusting. We've been purchasing bottled water for over 10 years and got tired of the cost, inconvenience, and plastic waste. I did some research and APEC provided the best value for the money, without compromising quality and cleanliness of the water. I ordered online and received within 6 days, and installed that same day. I was able to set-up and install the unit on my own using the manual within a couple of hours. It fit right under my sink, and there is still room for cleaning products. The water tastes amazing, equivalent to the pricey "alkaline" water i've purchased. I've had my product for a few days now, and i'm very happy with my purchase.

  • Excellent home RO system, easy install

The APEC RO system was easy to install with thorough instructions which made it fairly quick too. The large size of the reservoir tank is a great asset, I fill large containers to take to work and never have any issues with not having enough water in the tank- the refill time is short (a couple hours) if you do ever deplete the tank. The whole system fits easily under our kitchen sink and there is still plenty of room to store things. We've been using the system for about 5 months now and haven't had any issues, works great.

  • Very good under-the-counter filter system

This system was easy to install with the help of good instructions and colored tubing. The use of quick disconnect connectors also helped. The startup went well with only one leak which was the result of one filter housing not tight. Also after the system runs for awhile, recheck for any drips. How does the water taste? After you let the first few gallons of the new system drain out, the water tastes great. Don't be too quick to judge the water because it first comes out slightly milky looking on a newly installed system.

Pros Nice Design

Great tasting water! Awesome Customer Service! Bought in late January, and installed in March. The installation instruction is very easy to follow. We got great tasting water finally! Pro: Great tasting and clean water (TDS dropped from 328 to 21, see Fig 1,2) Easy installation Excellent Customer Services! (Read my story in the end) Con: Some Quick Connect connectors are prone to leak. I got two major leakages. But got the replacement connectors, so far NO leaking at all! Then I called APEC customer services. The lady was very helpful. Got the replaced connector with the filter right away. (See Fig 3) Problem solved since then.

Loving this APEC filter system. In my last house, I paid a company a LOT of money to put a 3-stage system in. That was about ten years ago. When I moved into my new house last month, I decided to see what options were around for me to buy and install myself. This APEC system is about 1/5 the price of the one I paid someone else to do at my last place, and it's five times better. Installation was extremely easy, and the water tastes great. I was even able to connect it to the existing decorative spout that the previous owner had hooked up to their simple charcoal filter. Having good filtered water was a very important thing to me, and finding an affordable system I could install myself that re-adds the minerals (the old system didn't do that) made me really happy. Looking forward to many years of good drinking and cooking water. Next step is to connect it to my coffee maker. Did that in the last place and it was a huge convenience. No more having to carry my coffee maker's water reservoir to the sink!

  • Easy installation

I bought this system after being quoted $450 for a 4 filter system and an installation. After purchasing this system, I was able to install the whole system to replace my old system in less than 2 hours. If you follow the directions it is easy to install. My water tastes great and I have no problems with leaks or anything like that. I highly recommend this water system and I wish I would have known about it sooner because the installation was a lot simpler that I had thought. Being a single mom, saving money and offering my children the best tasting and safest water is priority. I would purchase this system again if I move.

Excellent product, easy install and NO LEAKS! This design is superior to my previous unit that the filter canister top was "male" thread and had problems sealing even though it had two "O" rings. It leaked often and once water pressure pushed bottom o-ring out of position making a huge mess. Difficult to get it to stop leaking. This unit has "female" canister top with one o-ring and superior sealing design, and NO Leaks! I'M very happy with this RO filter.
