Pleased with the awning. It looks very nice and functions as described. The manual however leaves a lot to be desired. There is no template or instruction on the minimum distance that the wall brackets can be mounted from the soffit. After four emails to Awntech support, I got a picture with minimum mounting distances. Btw, finding studs on an outside wall is a pain.

I bought two 16' Hampton motorized awnings. Once we found the studs and had the brackets mounted, we used a material lift to crank them in place. much safer than lifting off a ladder. One of the remotes was programmed backwards and would retract when you pushed the extend button. An e mail to the company and I changed to the correct setting. We don't have any trees after the Beachie Creek fire, so the shade is nice! No trees means lots of wind, that is my biggest worry if they will not fly away!

Cord is too short. Motor went out on 1st try

Electrical cord is too short, we install a longer wire to reach the outlet.
