A/D arrived a day earlier than scheduled...undamaged... white finish coat not scratched... installed easily & keyless lock secured it closed... website drawback: no framing rough opening dimension schedule... had to read Q & A to get a general idea... very risky for an installer

It was easy to assemble but the door jams and doesn’t open easily. Probably could come up with a better open/close locking system. Other than that it’s doing it’s job.The 24x 24 measurements is the rough opening and not the frame which works for my situation since my opening is 24x24

The material and finish is really nice. The door kinda sticks when you open and close it is my only gripe.

Looked like a solid hatch/door but it is not 24x24 inches, that is the door piece only. Probably need to add a few inches for the correct dimension.

the front panel was 25.5 nothing on this unit is 24x24. I even called and got the specifications which I was told the frame that goes into the rough opening.

I got this to see if it could be used as an access door into a 2'x2' drop ceiling tile, which could have worked if the 24" x 24" referred to outer measurements. This page clearly implies that it is the outer measures, since that's what is in the dimensions fields as of June 2016; one always assumes it is talking about outer measurements if not otherwise specified. I am here to tell you that that is the measure of the door itself. The outer measure of the entire unit including frame is considerably larger. The frame adds a little more diameter for the rough opening, and then the outer "frame" part of the frame adds far more than that (but also makes the frame very sturdy, since it's also all metal). Past all that, it was very clear that it was a good metal access door, otherwise matching description and picture. So I give it a very good rating since it's only the Home Depot info that's bad, not the door itself. Fortunately Home Depot took it back, zero problem.
