This aerogarden is the coolest gardening invention Ever! I have only had it for two weeks and have already transplanted my first "crop" of seedlings into my garden and am now on my second set of plug seedlings. The pictures are of my second set of seeds. In less than a week, from seeds, I grew two tiny heads of lettuce, spinach, herbs- dill, thyme, rosemary, sweet mint, catnip, and chives, as well as watermelon, cantaloupe, tomato, okra, mammoth sunflowers, and passion flower seedlings. I have been a gardening fool, and this small, unobtrusive machine has made it not only possible, but easy. It comes with everything you need to get started, including your first set of seeded pods and additional pods for starting your own seeds. It also comes with nutrients that you add to the water to boost your plant growth. Plus, everything can be customized with the timers. It alerts you when you need to add water or nutrients, it sets a timer for the lights based on what types of seedlings you're growing. Miracle Grow has made it possible for me to start an extensive garden indoors, in my kitchen, on my counter, in a one square foot space, and then transfer it to my two acre garden outside, if I want. I live it!

I've been wanting an indoor herb garden for some time. I have tried a couple of times on my own but they would die after a couple of weeks. This system was super easy to setup and start using. I have only had it up for about a week now but the seeds are already sprouting. I like the idea that I don't have to do much or remember to do water or feed the plants the unit will remind me when it is time to add more plant food. I also like the ability to start many plants for my garden at once. I am planning on putting a outdoor garden next year so this will be super handy to get the plants started ahead of time. I live in New England and the growing season is short so getting a month jump start will be a huge plus to the growing season.

This soil free indoor garden is perfect for my home, as my cat is usually attracted to plants with soil. This garden is great because I can have it without disturbance in my home. The hydroponic technique is very simple as the control panel will remind when extra water or nutrients are needed for proper growth. The automatic LED lights come on and off according to a schedule. I am growing the herbs kit, and three of the herbs are growing after only 6 days. The directions are super easy to follow and the timer can be set in a personalized way as to monitor the light timer. I love the size of this unit, as it is perfect for my sun room. I also like the look and design and love that I will have fresh herbs to use in my cooking. Since I live in Michigan, I am not able to grow these herbs outdoors year round, so this unit is very welcome in my home. This aerogarden also came with a seed starter kit to plant my own seeds to be able to transfer when rooted outdoors to my summer garden. I plan to use those grow plugs after my herbal garden is grown. Overall this is a great system and one that could be used with children or the elderly as a garden therapy project. Love it so much!!

I set my AeroGarden Classic 6 up on Friday evening, 3/17 ... and 3 of the 6 herb seed pods have ALREADY sprouted, as of this morning, 3/22! Wow, that was FAST! Very easy set-up. You DON'T need filtered water, since the AeroGarden is designed to work with tap water. The kit included a set of herb set pods, and also a seed-sprouting tray. After my herbs have run their course, the family garden enthusiast wants to start lettuces. One drawback is the price (~$16) of replacement seed pods. I may explore how successful using my own seeds is with the "grow your own" kit (sold separately, and different than the seed-sprouting tray). A word about the LED lights: An additional bonus is the LED lights will likely help deal with my Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) next winter. These lights are BRIGHT, with white, red, and blue LEDs. They're a "wake-up shot to the brain" as one family member remarked. She found it necessary to drape a dish towel around the Garden while working in the kitchen in the evening so as not to feel caffeinated right before bed.

This unit is compact and well-planned for maximum growing. It is easy to assemble and set up, following the instructions. I planted the included herb pack for our initial growing. It is supposed to grow plants in about half the time, but since I just set it up, I don't know if this claim is true yet or not. I will post later to update. It could cost a bit more in the long haul due to the need to replace pods and other parts over time. (Pod kits run around $16-$20 each. Overall, I like the small space that the AeroGarden uses as well as the LED lights that reduce the energy usage to 20 watts - essential in our off-the-grid home.

This is a simple to set up, easy to use, system for gardening that works as promised. There are fancier, newer models, but I've been happy with this one. Growing my first crop of tomatoes and hot peppers.

This item was actually purchased as a gift, and has not yet been given. . . I do expect the cost was rather high for what arrived.

We just got our seed starting system and put in near a window in our kitchen. Bad idea. The device produces a lot of light, we knew there would be some light, but were not expecting this much. No need for a night light with this in the room. Also, the garden seed starting system is a bit noisy. We ended up moving it to an unoccupied room. We didn't want to because we wanted to see the plants grow. This is the first system we bought so we really didn't know what to expect, but we were surprised (in a bad way) by the amount light and noise it produces.

Great product, Within 4 days, I have sprouts for basil and thyme. The seed starting is a nice bonus. Easy to program. Only drawback is the pump is a bit noisy. Louder than aquarium pumps. Would highly recommend for extending the growing seasons.

It an awesome growing kit . And the liquid fertilizer really gets them off to a good start !

I really love this way to grow herbs. Im constantly trimming back. Fabulous way to grow through the winter.

The product does what it states it will do, for that I would give it 5 stars, but the problem is that it is very, very noisy, to the point that it is annoying.... a constant very loud buzzing that fills the room and the next room as well, unless you close the door to the room that the unit is in.

Bought this for my daughter as a gift (shes 14). She was super excited. Everything was going great then after about 3 weeks, literally one day to the next they all turned brown and wilted. No idea what caused the change bc she followed instructions and added food at 2 weeks and has it on the herb timer. Could be user error but really have no idea what changed. After checking it every day for 3 weeks shes now very unmotivated to try again

It works as described. The concern is the noise, it is noisy and distracting.

This is so easy and fun. I have six different herbs growing in my living room and it's great.

Should be called AeroGarbage. Works erratically. The first night it went off and wouldn't come back on. There's a message in the box that gives AeroGarbage's phone number and says to call them before returning. I Called and then texted, waited a couple of days and finally got an answer. Got it to go and it came on for about twenty four hours straight. Then it went off for about twelve hours and back on for three hours and shut off again. It's now been off for about fourteen hours.

Easy to assemble, Nice looking. The only downside is it can be a bit noisy at times.

The system is very easy to set and use. I have only used it for one week. So far the herbs are glowing as aspected. All except dill mint and parsley pods. I would recommend this product for beginners as it is easy to use and you can use this system to germinate seeds. The light is very bright however so place the unit in a spot that does not ever need to be dark.

I wish I could break the rating system in sections from; Overall - Excellent; Package internal condition -Good - because 3 of the domes that make the greenhouse effect were cracked. Miracle-Gro did replace them from my email request. I might have to send another email to Miracle-Gro because after 2 weeks of growing the mint seed (sprout time 6-10 days) has not appeared. I will give it a few more weeks before that email. Maybe the mint seeds are sunk deeper than the other pods. The other 5 plants are growing well and I am super pleased with the system. Price of $199.00 is reasonable with the bonus seed starter system. Unless, your able to get it on Home Depot "Special Buy of the Day", like I did for $89.00. I know check daily Home Deport "Special Buy of the Day" and have seen more amazing savings from generators, smoke alarms to air perifiers. Heck: I have the system on top of my primo and it cast the light over to a few counters. So I am able to add other plants nearby to join the extra light, too. Happy gardening.
