It was missing parts, the tire would not stay...
It was missing parts, the tire would not stay inflated, the metering gage was weak and broke with 40 lbs of fertilizer, when repaired the linkage and material strength made consistent openings at the same lever setting inconsistent. I returned it. This did not have the structural integrity to meet normal casual usage requirements, Not ready for prime time.

Missing parts and the shut off handle is too short...
Missing parts and the shut off handle is too short you can't reach it while you're on the on the lawn mower the hopper box is cracked

This was a one-star rating when the spreader came out of the box. The gear drive design is flimsy...
This was a one-star rating when the spreader came out of the box. The gear drive design is flimsy and the drive wheel kept locking up. After dumping a LOT of grass seed in a solid row during lock-up, something had to be done immediately! After a careful upside-down check of the running gear and spreader drive, it was determined that the axle was bent!!! Evidently, during the factory press-fitting of piece parts onto the axle, it deformed where the small spur gear is located. The result was at least an inch of up-and-down travel of the spur as the axle rotated. A five-pound hammer corrected the bent axle and a LOT of grease let it run smoothly.
The spreader does fine now, but the frame and general design is still fragile. If you are using it on a normal lawn, it should rate four stars.

Not the size I thought it would be
I misunderstood the labeling to mean the spreader could hold 100 lbs of product. There is no way you can fit 100 lbs of fertilizer in the spreader. Maybe 50 lbs at most.

Although I haven't put this spreader into use I did find the instructions lacking in specificity ...
Although I haven't put this spreader into use I did find the instructions lacking in specificity and clarity. I also found that certain items in the unit to be missing , thus their procedure for final inspection obviously lacks credibility and usefulness. I do look forward to using this spreader and learn how good it is.

Product very disappointing! The control for open/closed does not remain in the closed position and the spreader doesn't "very well."

There is no Quality Assurance check at the factory on...
There is no Quality Assurance check at the factory on this product. It Did Not work when I removed it from box. It could not have been operationally checked. It took about four hours to fix using mechanical skills and special tools. Also, all hardware was not included.

Time will tell...
The first thing I noticed was the tires. Although they ARE pneumatic, they don't look very heavy duty.
Assembly was pretty straight forward, but the sticker used for the setting gauge is practically useless. I had to add masking tape and mark "Full Open" and "Closed" then adjust a midway point for what I called "5".
The actuating lever is too short to be comfortably reached from my tractor seat. I had to fabricate an extension of about 2 feet to be more user friendly.

Product is fine but the assembly instructions were terrible - no words - just poor pictures and I ended up re-doing almost every step because it did not mention minor details that were not apparent until the next step. Ended up with the adjustment mechanism not put together correctly because I would have had to re-do half the steps because the instructions were not clear in terms of how that connector bar should be positioned.

Great spreader, but it could be better
The only thing that it lacks for my preference is a handle to start and stop flow that is long enough to reach while towing from a commercial zero turn, BUT a piece of pvc pipe can easily be attached to existing lever with just a little effort.

Great spreader
I bought this last year and used it for the last 9 months. It's well-built, durable, easy to set up and pull behind a lawn tractor, and comes with a skirt for tight spots next to flower beds where you don't want any over seeding or lawn fertilizer. I'd buy it again. You can even use it to salt the driveway in the winter.

Works as it should
Just used this 2 days ago for first time. I ve got 1.5 acres and put down pre emergent. Unit seems sturdy and coved a swath about 20 feet wide. No problems, a good buy at the price. Recommend.

Work in progress.
I bought this spreader last year and followed the instructions for putting it together. After numerous adjustments the left wheel gets stuck and will not turn. The lever for on and off will jump to on when traveling.

Good sprrader
Does a great job, but the small gear that runs off the plate on the axle wears out quickly. I have had four of these, and I am constantly replacing those small gears.

Better than walking
I purchased this spreader last spring at Lowes to pull behind my John Deer rider. Holds twice the amount of a walk spreader. Works great. for the price.

Definitely worth buying
I love my new Agri-Fab Spreader I had and old one that was about 20 years plus old and pretty much wore out but still worked decided to buy a new one. This one is great also.

Wheels lock up.
Wheel and spreader gears don't mesh correctly and occasionally lock up.
