Warped
Ordered 2, which had to be shipped to the store. They arrived in a box . One was straight as an arrow and the other was warped more than 1 inch right in the middle of the piece. No way this happened in transit. Instead of jamming product in boxes, maybe Q/A things first. Good thing I only need about 3 feet of the warped piece for this project; as a whole piece, this is unusable, and I'd have to wait another five days because something as simple as a handrail isn't carried in the store.

The wood was all good!
I ordered these rails online from home depot because the other local home supply stores had these price for almost double.So I took a chance and ordered these, praying they were straight, not cracked or knotted up and they weren't. I was very pleased with the condition of the items and they arrived earlier than expected.

The 8 ft piece had a 2 inch bow in...
The 8 ft piece had a 2 inch bow in it like the bottom of a rocking chair. Luckily I discovered the fact when I unboxed the piece in the parking lot. I reordered it and when I was notified that it arrived I called to make sure it was straight. I explained my previous problem and said I didn't want to drive another 50 mile trip to discover a useless piece of wood. I was assured it was ok and drove 25 miles to the store. It wasn't okay at all!!!. It was almost as bad as the first piece. The manufacturer should have used a better selection of wood grain or used a finger joint construction. I am totally dissatisfied.

Was a bit bowed in the middle, but great option...
Was a bit bowed in the middle, but great option to much higher priced rails. A bit of fine sanding, stain and w coats of laquer and they looked great.
