Basic round 8 foot hand rail with flat side for mounting brackets. Least expensive hand rail available but an improvement over the current 2x4 on my basement steps. Light sanding and some finish to avoid potential wood splinters.

I ordered this to put on my stairs to my basement and I was very dissappointed that if fell short...
I ordered this to put on my stairs to my basement and I was very dissappointed that if fell short by about 4 feet...and this is a standard 1 floor staircase. Also the rail was quite warped. I needed an economical hand rail and now I'm going to have to do something else to solve my problem.

The grain looks great. The milling left a line running the length of the mouling on the underside that will need to be sanded for a better feel. Two out of three pieces ordered were straight, one was bowed.
NO LONGER CARRIED IN Home Depot STORES!...Why?...FRUSTRATING!
