We installed the Allure Ultra Vinyl Plank Flooring 3 months ago. 30 cases at $2.99/sq ft was the very top of our budget. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE IT AGAIN unless I could afford to have it professionally installed. We spent the better part of 3 weekends preparing the sub-floor, one weekend installing and another 2 weekends doing trim and thresholds. Within weeks some of the interlocking seams had come apart. PROS: The wood grain and embossing looks great and has shown no wear despite having 5 active kids in the house. Feels good under foot and is very quiet. Packaging and shipping were perfect. There was not even one damaged plank. CONS: Unless you have a perfect sub-floor the seams WILL come apart. There were only 4 plank patterns and they were not evenly distributed in each case. We had more of one pattern so repeats are more obvious. TrafficMASTER did not have matching, or any approved thresholds so I had to make my own being careful not to screw into or over tighten onto this floating floor.

LOVE IT!!! I installed this in my kitchen over 3 years ago. It took me 10 years to finally find a flooring that I liked for my kitchen and I love it. I also own rental and install this too. I have used several hardy floor options (online similar for less $, previous Go To rental floor was vinyl floor tile and a few ceramic) over the past 20 years and TM Allure Ultra is by far my favorite. Easy to install, DURABLE!!!, looks fantastic, floating. My only issue was my kitchen was my first time and I did goof on connecting the planks but not too bad. My mom liked it so much she installed it in her basement. The selection of patterns only has a few (distinctive faux nots) that one would need to be careful of the placement. After 3 years, looks as good as new- with 3 kids who enter the house on this floor, snow, mud, ski boots, and all. No separation or fading (only two north facing windows). Highly recommend only using interlocking planks. Make sure base floor is smooth as any small bumps with reappear.

      Easy floor to install!
This flooring is very easy to install. Cuts easily with a utility knife. Looks beautiful and gives a natural wood look to any room, but with the benefit of waterproof flooring. We installed it over ceramic tile and it is able to be installed on many different types of flooring. I love how my kitchen and dining room looks!

Once you get going it's easy to install
After you get a few courses down the installation gets easy. Engage the long side of the plank and slide the end together. Set the end by tapping it down with a smooth hammer, and set the long side by tapping it together horizontally. Use the plastic device they sell so you can tap on the edge of the plank without damaging the tongue. Warning! This product will expand and raise up in a big bubble if the surface gets heated in a localized spot! Intense sunlight shining on the floor will do it. Keep the shade drawn when the sun is hot on the floor.

WARNING: New interlock design being sold under same Model #
I bought 72 boxes of Model # 66415.0 on February 19th and installed it in a 1400 sq ft home. Installation went fine and vinyl planks locked together great. Now we are in August and I decided to put new floor in two rooms off the same house. I buy 18 more boxes of Model # 66415.0. The interlock design is completely different. The planks do not lock together and will also not work with the older interlock design on the planks I bought in February. On the February box, the pattern number states 66415. On the August box, the pattern number states 66415N. The new interlock design on pattern 66415N is awful and will not interlock on the left and right edge. If you receive this product and it says 66415N on the box, you're in for a world of hurt. The reviews for this product should not correspond with the new design. It's very misleading.

        Beautiful Flooring
This is the 2nd time we've installed allure flooring in this space. The 1st time around my husband put down the African Wood Dark resilient vinyl planks, which was from what I call Allure's "1st generation" of flooring; it had the grip strip backing. That pattern was beautiful, but completely clashed with the new tiled walk-in shower we had installed recently. The Sawcut Arizona was the only pattern currently available that I liked other than the Expresso Oak, which would've been too dark for this tiny bathroom with no windows. The best thing about this pattern choice is that it's got texture that I would compare to a hand scraped wood that makes it less likely to get or show things like water spots or scratches.

        Great looking tile
Looks like good hardwood and easy to install per the contractors that are laying it. It resembles my hickory hardwood floor in my old house. Hoping the review are correct and it stands up to my dogs, but I'm very happy with the appearance. Love the woodgrain look. When I do my basement, I will probably use this again.

        Love the finished floors!
Certainly took me a while to get the hang of how to install the planks, but then it was pretty cool! Warning to first timers: If you're watching youtube videos to see how to install this product, make sure the people in the video are talking about the same product. There are a million different kinds of click and lock planks, and they do NOT install the same way. Wish the company had better videos... theirs seemed more like ads for the product than actually how-to tips. I finally found a good one, but I don't remember the link now. Sorry.

Seeing the same 3 patterns over and over.
Overall the tile is easy to install once you get the knack of "wiggling" to get a flush fit. It's relatively easy to make cuts for door edges and corners without damaging the tile. My biggest complaint is that the tiles come in 8 different "patterns" and 3 are predominant throughout the boxes. I purchased 101 cases and have gone through 60 so far and the same 3 "patterns" comprise over 40% of the tiles! Be prepared for a lot of repetition since you'll see those 3 a lot! Good product so far but REALLY IRRITATING to have so little equality among the patterns as you can see from the picture. That's what 10 boxes looks like after it has been sorted out by pattern.

Very Doable for a Complete Novice and Looks great
This is definitely the product for you if you're new to home improvement--but it might also be the product for you if you aren't. With very few tools and words of wisdom from more experienced home improvers, my husband and I installed this in our basement on our own (and we are complete novices). Of course it wasn't as easy as I'd hoped--slapping them down and being done--but it was very doable with some patience. And it looks great. We've only had it done for a few days, so I can't speak for durability, but for now I'm ready to redo my kitchen with this product. I think getting one of the sawcut colors helped in terms of it looking more like real wood. I am brand new to this, so I guess I thought I'd hear an actual click--you don't--but you'll get the hang of it. I'd definitely start on the end of the room least visible as you'll get better as you go. Make sure you start in a right corner, stagger the length of the starting boards so the seams don't run all the way across the room (I'd lay out the boards to make sure you aren't going to end up with a really short board at the end--if you are, adjust in the first board), and have these tools: a sharp utility knife, tin snips (or something to cut shapes with), a carpenter's square, a hammer or rubber mallet, and a tapping block. No saw needed. More advice for the novices: take your time and make sure you're cutting the right end (as it matters). When we would cut one side, we'd store the extra on the side of the room where we could use it in order to keep ourselves organized. Keep in mind you can only cut the boards on each end of a row, cutting in the middle of a row doesn't work as they won't click together, and order more than you think you'll need.

          Not that great anymore
Have been adding on to an existing floor with the same exact product (so I thought), and they do not fit together. Any of the locking edges do not fit together. I cut the locking parts off so they would go in place since I had no choice, but now the older new yellow and black box( (2014-2015) do not fit together with any of the brand new ones. How many times do they have to change it? 3 so far I suppose. This has been a sloppy job either way. . Even if i did get only the 2016 planks, this is now the most difficult floor to get the joints to lock together I've done so far, and this is a small room so it should have been easy. I do a lot of floors, this used to be a good product, but now its cheap and I won't buy again.

            DECENT FLOORING - good value
Overall well satisfied with this product. A person needs to be sure this is the type of flooring that does the job for them. My floor is tough because of my old, old house. Smoothed out the floor with plywood, but was unable to level it. Flooring still looks great and doing a good job. Be aware, will scar from moving heavy objects and dogs not allowed!

Sawcut Arizona Planks - Looks Great, Very Durable!
When we found out we couldn't put laminate on our slab because of the moisture we started to try to find a resilient vinyl that would match the laminate we had put upstairs [HDC Handscraped Brown, in stock at HD.] I determined the Sawcut Arizona was the perfect match. The planks are very wide, a really cool look. They're also textured, unlike normal vinyl [and the Allure Vinyl I put in the bathrooms]. I love this stuff! It's been taking a beating since we're moving furniture in, no scuffs! It cleans up easily with a damp rag and looks just great. You can barely tell it's vinyl. I also like that it's not uneven the way the laminate we put upstairs is, seems like it's going to hold up really well! Looks wonderful with gray walls. I just hate that you have to buy a full case and supposedly can't return unopened boxes within said case. OH, also super easy to install, peel and stick. My dad installed about 1000 sq ft in a day [an entire downstairs!]

            Great Product for any room
I have used this product in several applications. We have a water problem in our basement and had carpet prior, installed this and even if water is an issue, easy to clean up or remove and re install. Installed on our houseboat in the kitchen and bathrooms, feels great on bare feet, can drop anything on it without worrying about it chipping. Installed in a laundry room that had a water heater leak, no issues is it happens again. Real easy to install, easy to cut with a knife of scissors, looks great, feels great on the feet, not slippery and looks like wood. If the choice is between a wood or laminate product, get this you will not be disappointed.

            I love my new floor!
My sister and I installed this flooring in 2 rooms. The first 2 rows are a pain to start. I recommend using a 2x4 to place against the wall to do at least 3 rows then put in your spacers. The other thing to check for, sometimes where it snaps together, little pieces break off and you can't get a tight fit. Just make sure the track is clean of any debris. When doing around door jams it is easier to square your cuts and use sand less grout. It is easy to score and snap. It can be cut on the table saw or band saw and the top side looks perfect. You can leave your floor boards on (took mine off because I redid the walls) and add quarter round to cover the gap. I have 2 dogs (one big one small) that chase each other all the time and they haven't scratched the flooring. It's easy to clean. I'm really happy with my new floor and plan on doing 2 more rooms.

Looks great, but a pain to install
Took on our basement for my winter project (aprox 400 sqft). Researched flooring options and was leaning towards carpet, but after finding out about a waterproof flooring option, I was convinced to go this route. I read nearly all 1000 reviews, usually dismissing negative ones, because I assumed if something is difficult or goes wrong, it's the installer.... The flooring looks awesome, but the install was less than pleasant. I've done my share of floors (hardwood and tile), but this was by far the trickiest flooring to get in place. I had a 3/4" gap between the new drywall and the concrete, so there was a lot of shifting happening when tapping the planks tight. The tongue and grove system has nearly zero margin of error. It's either in or not, so that took some practice. Had no problem scoring/snapping the pieces. I only scored over each cut twice. If a short amount needed to be cut off, after scoring, I stepped on that end of the plank to give me leverage while bending it, snapping easily. I did use my table and miter saw for some of the cuts to get around certain corners. Here are a few pointers I learned from some online blogs, reviews, and/or from my learning curve: -THIS IS HUGE: fill a spray bottle with rubbing alcohol to lubricate the joints. Burned my scrapped knuckles like heck, but stinging reduced the swearing & fighting with the planks not fitting tightly together. Made sliding the planks side to side a lot easier. -make sure your spacers are not going to shift. Once you have a few rows in place, you can weigh down the rows with unopened boxes. -buy the tapping block, or use a couple edge scraps as a tapping block (one for long edge & one for the end. -tap the planks together often to ensure the seams are staying tight and a smooth edge between planks within the same row. -use a pry-bar to get the last piece in each row in place. Of course use a piece of scrap to use between the wall and the pry-bar so you don't dent the wall. -end join planks together for full rows if possible. Butt up to the newest row, then work your way down the row to angle in and snap into place. This was much easier for shorter rows (about 12'), and saves you the headache of tapping the ends of the planks or using the pry-bar (especially near the glass face of the fireplace). If it weren't going to be installed in the basement, I don't think I would ever use this product again for a larger space. Looks great, but not the smoothest DYI project I've dealt with. The packaging claims to be the easiest floor ever, which is total BS....Good luck, hope my tips help.

            This flooring is awesome!
We installed this flooring in a high traffic breezeway and it looks incredible. It's very hard to tell that it is not wood flooring. The only negative is that the flooring seems to scratch easily when you move furniture across, but these are just surface scratches that wipe off easily with a damp rag. The size of the space was 12 x 27 and my husband and a professional flooring installer had it installed in about 7 hours. You do have to make sure that when you measure the width of the space, you are not leaving a small sliver of flooring for the edges, so if you have to rip a piece at the beginning to make it fit properly, plan for this. Ordering 10% more material than the actual space worked out nicely. We've got some pieces left over in case of damage later on.

durable/ easy to install/ easy to maintain
We purchased Allure Ultra Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring a year ago and tried it in our den and dining room where our dog occasionally comes inside with mud (Hawaii's red dirt) on her feet . We wanted something that was easy to maintain, would not stain from the red dirt, and wouldn't be affected by spills or scratched by the dog racing around. I also work at home in the den and roll around on a chair at my desk. We really love this flooring. PROS It feels good on your feet (we live in Hawaii and don't wear shoes in the house). It is not hard like tile nor does it collect dirt like carpet. It is easy to clean (we use a dry swiffer) and then damp mop it on occasion (they sell a special cleaning product to mop the floor with- we use that; it's not expensive and lasts forever). No need to wax it (you shouldn't wax it). It has held up really well for the year and a half that we have had it. Some furniture was dragged over it and left scuff marks that just wiped off with a dry paper towel. It still looks new. I did cabinet making and woodworking for years and hate the fake wood flooring that looks like a printed wood pattern, or flooring where you can spot the same knot hole over and over again. This flooring looks pretty much like real wood. People who come to our home think it IS real wood. It is also easy to install, and very forgiving on an uneven floor. Our floor had some major waves in it (so much so, that I had to scribe the bottom of one of our baseboards to get a tight fit), but this flooring (since it is vinyl) just molded to it without having to level the floor. Although I am sure there is a limit as to how much unevenness it can handle before the seams don't hold, it is much more tolerant than a hard flooring. This was a big plus for me who didn't want to mess with trying to level the floor. It was also very easy to install. Fast. It can be laid over any solid, flat surface. It's easy to cut - just score it with a utility knife and snap it on the scored line. (if you have done drywall, it's like cutting drywall). This means no dust or need of a power miter saw; no dust is produced when cutting. We just purchased more to replace the carpet in our living room, hall, and a bedroom in our home. CONS I bought a fairly large volume of flooring and a couple of the boxes had 2/3 of the box full of the same patterned piece. I wondered if I was doing a bathroom (or any other smaller room) what I could have done to avoid that repeated pattern. As it was, I had enough variety in the other boxes to mix it up. My color was special order, but I am pretty sure Home Depot would exchange a box if you had too much of the same pattern in it - especially if it wasn't a special order item. THINGS I LEARNED When you snap the flooring together be sure to push the seam together really tightly. Don't just snap it together; snap it together , then push it together so there is no line (crack) at all. A friend of ours had the same flooring installed professionally and they didn't do that - it looks horrible. Make sure you can see no gap at all in the seam. The variety of patterns on the planks is minimal so make sure you open a number of boxes and lay it out as you go so you don't have the same planks forming a pattern (diagonally, or otherwise) on the floor. That would drive me nuts. I would see it every time I walked in the room.

            Look Amazing and It's Easy!
I installed this running from the guest bath, down the hallway, and then in two directions; into the kitchen and into the laundry room. It was extremely simple to click-lock the planks going either direction. It was equally amazing that all I had to do was score with a utility knife and snap. No running outside to the saw, going back inside, and having to go back outside for an adjustment cut! When locking them together, you have to really hold the plank straight. Even though it's thick, it still bows and one side will lock while the other is still not in. Wood planks have the rigidity that negate this issue, but after laying the second row it was easy to figure out.

            vinyl flooring
I installed alone. First 2 rows took several hours. Would get one "locked" in and then the next plank would cause the previous one to separate. Pulled up entire floor due to some not being fully locked in. If they aren't locked in, there will be visible white spaces. Had a friend help me but even with 2 we struggled with keeping previously locked in planks to stay locked. Cuts well with blade. Looks decent now. Definitely recommend buying all the tools suggested including the tapping tool, spacers, and mallet.

Do not buy this product if you have a couch!
I have this product in two bathrooms, the master bedroom, the office, and the living room. I would have given it a good rating, until I looked under the couch - and found a complete disaster – the glue strip pulled apart and left a full ¼” gap between planks, pushing additional planks with it. Since all the plank movement was under or behind the couch, we didn’t see the problem until it was too late. In summary, either the glue strip was defective or the planks are poorly designed for situations where there is tension on the surface of the planks. The tension is a result of my couch – a normal couch, with rubber feet. I traced the failure to the fact that the rubber feet moved apart, very slightly, when you sit on the couch – and since they are rubber, and do not slide, this created slight pressure on the glue strip that, over time (2 months), pulled the joint apart. Since this is a normal couch, it’s a mystery to me why the glue strip was not designed to be strong enough for this situation. To add insult to injury, the manufacture was unwilling to honor a warranty claim. They suggested I use felt on the bottom of the couch next time – that makes no sense – if I have felt on the feet of my couch and try to sit down, the couch will slide back. In fact, after this issue happened, I DID put felt on the couch feet, and it does exactly as I expected, it slides on the floor, and the couch keeps working its way into the wall, where I don’t want it. What a disaster, and no warrantee coverage from the manufacturer! I will have to completely replace the floor in the entire room to fix this! About my installation - I put a lot of time and energy into making sure the floor preparation was right - put particle board down over the subfloor for an extremely smooth surface with no gaps or elevation differences between sheets. Once that was done, I put the product down (goes down easily, and cuts well with tin snips, or score and break as the instructions show). After that, I applied pressure to all the seams. Once done, all joints were tight and straight - it looked beautiful – you could not put a hair between the joints. Then I put the baseboard down, and the furniture back, and enjoyed the living room. My installation went smoothly and it looked great. But what happened after that was terrible. About the couch – since this happened under the couch, I knew it had something to do with the couch itself – but this is a typical couch, so I want to explain this so you can tell if you might have the same result of planks separating (glue failure). Like most recliner couches, there is a metal frame around the base of the couch, with a number of feet attached to the frame. In my case, there are 10 rubber feet, each about 3/8” tall. Here’s my engineering analysis after studying the issue - I concluded that the load transfer from the frame of the couch to the feet of the couch was offset, and caused a slight "tow out" movement of the feet each time we sat on the couch. If the couch feet are rubber (which they are), and do not slide, then the couch feet will tend to tow out, and slightly pull the planks apart. This is a normal couch, from a normal store, bought only about 8 years ago, so my conclusion is that the glue is inadequate for a normal couch, or these planks came with a bad batch of glue – but the manufacture would not admit this, and failed to support any remedy at all. I will leave you with this warning - if you plan to put anything like, say, a couch on this product, you may have to completely replace the floor - it was not designed for anything more than stationary furniture that doesn't move a fraction of an inch. Not only this, but in my case there really is no repair other than tearing out the entire room and starting over, since the problem area is at a place a distance away from the wall. My advice – don’t buy this product – it’s not designed for purpose intended, and the original manufacturer does not honor the warranty… Aside from this, the product seems to collect scratches and “shiny spots”. We do not treat our floors badly, and our carpet lasted for 10 before we tore it out to put this product down – but this product, despite the 25 year “warranty” (which they do not honor), is a disaster. We have more of this product to install in the kitchen – but now I’m not sure I want to!

            Love the flooring
I have hard wood floors in my room but had vinyl in my morning room. I wanted something that looked like hardwood but wasn't because ofthe traffic of pets and people that go outside and track dirt in from the morning room. I chose a similar pattern to my hardwood floors because it was going to be next to it. I could not be happier with the choice. It looks fabulous. Love it !!!

This flooring not only looks excellent, it is going to wear like iron. Easy to install and looks so rich. It's real wood feel and look is just what we were looking for.
