Espresso Oak is Stunning
My husband installed this in our foyer, hallway, 1/2 bath, kitchen, living room and dining room. It was quick and easy to install with the right tools. It's beautiful (espresso oak) & durable, we love it because it's waterproof we have a dog and two grandsons, the only problem is - it shows every crumb and dog hair but the color is stunning.

The end result is worth the pain
We are average DIYers and this was our first flooring project with vinyl planks. The first few rows of the installation had us pulling our hair out, wondering if we had made bad choice. The installation got much better after the first quarter of the floor was done -- we started to get the hang of locking the planks and the flooring stopped shifting around. I had purchased the specially designed Allure Ultra tapping block which was very helpful and a good rubber mallet which was essential to the install. We had no problem scoring and snapping the straight pieces, odd cuts were a bit more challenging. It took us about 8 hours of work to do a 12x12 room, not counting the prep work of removing carpet, etc. The floor looks great, feels great and cleans up like a breeze. Our only slight disappointment with the overall project was that because of how the planks need to snap in at an angle, we could not get as close as we would have liked to some of the trim going into the closet, but I plan to find a product to fill in the odd gaps, quarter round moulding took care of the gaps along the walls. We are so happy with this floor that we just purchased another 18 cases to do another bedroom and hallway. I guess it's like childbirth, the end result is worth pain. LOL

Love my second Batch better than the First!!
It took me over a year to decide on a style and the right flooring for a 900 Square foot guest area in our home. I wanted something durable and more updated looking. It is a bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen and living room so we wanted a flooring that would go well throughout all these spaces. This was a great option! The Home Depot pictures don't really look like the floor to me. It looks much better than the stock photo they have. That being said here is our experience........... I ordered the flooring and it took several months before we were ready to install it. My son and I installed about 900 square feet in a couple of days. It is a little tricky to get it right and MAKE SURE ALL YOUR SEAMS ARE PERFECT before you move on. Check your seams periodically and if anything gets lose go back and fix it. That will make a big difference in the overall appearance. It looks MUCH better if you can plan your installation so you don't need transitional strip in your doorways so do what it takes to make that happen. The transitions make it look more fake. The first batch we ordered had a grey, almost driftwood appearance to it. It looks more like the Sawcut Colorado photo to me, but it did look good for our new more modern decor. The photos they have make the floor look more country style. I guess it could go either way, but overall it looks great in a modern space. Does it look real? No, not really and especially not when sunlight hits it, but it looks great, especially looking straight down at it and in the evening when there isn't any light shining from the sun. It has great texture which is much better than most fake wood products. Breaking it up with area rugs really adds and makes it look more realistic. SOOOOOO....... we ended up running out by just a few pieces and had to order more. We also decided to order enough to do part of our basement. The second shipment arrived about 6 months from the first and the color was DRASTICALLY different! I would say 3 shades darker and more of a rich brown tone with Grey undertones rather than the first batch which I would describe as grey with more pink undertones. The good news is I liked the second batch even more than the first. I like it so much I think I want to pull up my pine floors in the rest of my home (They have taken a total beating and the quote was $15,000 to refinish them) and I am tempted to replace all my pine with this product. That being said, I would only do it if I could be guaranteed it would look exactly like the second batch. So I am in a quandary. Do I order 1500 square feet and cross my fingers it will come in the right color??? I am hoping they have updated the color a touch and all the new batches will be similar, but I can't be sure. I plan to talk to Home Depot about it and see if they can contact the company for me. Please read the captions of my photos to know which batch you are viewing. It is hard to photograph and none of them are exactly what it looks like. Trust me, The most current batch it is very nice looking and not at all Reddish!!!! If anything it is more on the Grey side but not red like the photo may look on your computer. Good Luck!!

Great Floor (If you ignore the Factory installation instructions)
We chose the Allure floor because we needed a waterproof floor because it was going to be installed in our Mudroom. The original wood floor had rotted due to water entry from the occasional rain storm that blew in thru the screen door. We got a great deal on this floor due to a customer returning an entire pallet because his neighbor told him not to install it! 30% off! Our "Mudroom" was simply an old shed that was attached to the house 100 yrs ago. The floor was not level and rotted by the door. We shimmed the lowest section of the floor and installed plywood over half the floor. Then using the old method of leveling the floor with sand, we put another layer of plywood on the floor. With the floor mostly level, we started installing the Allure floor, following the factory instructions. That simply didn't work! Luckily a women on Youtube had explained how to do it correctly. She showed how to keep the planks from coming apart. Lay the planks lengthwise the entire length of the room, connected end to end. Then repeat with another width. Now, take the second section and angle the entire room length into the first section all at once. This way you are only dealing with one plane of the locking tabs, not two. Finally, use a scrap piece of plank and insert it into the side of the planks and bang it with a hammer to force the second section into the first section remove the remaining sliver of gray still showing. Using this method, the planks will NOT separate. Anything less and there is a chance they will! She said if the floor is not flat, assemble several plank widths together, then slide the assembled section over the uneven floor area. 2 yrs, and two hard winter later, the floor is still perfect with NO separations.

Excellent product. Really the best flooring I could have hoped for
I waited a few months to write this review after installing this flooring in my kitchen, dinning room, hallway and half bath. I thoroughly researched this how to for my project and read numerous reviews of installation success/failures. This study prepared me for all aspects of installation with the exception of the technique I should employ to install the flooring underneath the cut-off door casings as I transited from one room to another. I got the job done but, I am sure a pro would have done it easier and in less time. As for the failures reviewers wrote about most were the frustrations they faced with plank seam separation. I surmised attention to detail and good tools would probably solve the problem. A rubber mallet and a tapping block solved the tool problem. Realizing that each time I installed a plank, it required that I would disturb the seam of at least the previous plank laid. So, for every plank laid I would tap the previous back into place if necessary. At the end of a row I inspected all of the seams of that row. Employing this method has produced tight seams in all of my rooms which remain tight after many months. I find the Aspen Oak Black to be very attractive but, I have to sweep my kitchen at least four or five times a day. The darn thing shows up the slightest speck as if it were a boulder!

Looks fantastic in the home!
We didn't do the installation ourselves, but had Home Depot's contractor do it, so I have no idea about the difficulty in installation. Be that as it may, we are totally pleased with the appearance of this vinyl plank. It looks fantastic, and we couldn't be more pleased.

    High Quality Floor
We recently renovated our kitchen, dining room, foyer and 1/2 bathroom. After looking at nearly every type of flooring we decided on using the TrafficMASTER Allure Ultra thruout and we are glad we did. I am a DIY type guy and installed the floor myself ( 23 boxes) and it was very easy to work with. The planks snap together tightly and are fairly easy to cut ( just score and snap off). The floor looks great and have been told several times by others who visit how nice it really looks. We used the expresso oak and it has a deep chocolate color and a grain look. It has a better feel on your feet then tile or vinyl too. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone, in fact I already did and they are putting it thruout their basement. This is a high quality product. You won't regret this flooring.

    Fabulous Flooring - easy installation
Couldn't beat the price as we came across it on a Black Friday deal. Ordered online for pick up in another state. We placed this from the entry way of our condo through the kitchen, dining room, living room and hall ways. IT LOOKS FANTASTIC. We have had great comments from friends and family as well. I am sure over the years the realistic look of wood grain will get even better as technology improves. I have attached a picture for you to see. Thanks again HOME DEPOT - our one and only place to shop.

    Love this flooring
This floor is beautiful. We are ordering 7 more cases to do our kitchen. The reason for 4 bars on the ease of installation, because we have never done flooring like this before. Was easy once we figured it out. Also in a small bathroom, kitchen will be smoother install.

    Allure Sawcut Dakota Luv!
We had a contractor lay our floor in living room, foyer, kitchen, laundry room, half bath and two bedrooms. We chose it because of it being waterproof. I love how you don't see the bare feet marks on it like pergo or laminate floors. Mops up beautiful with the swifter!

    Beautiful Flooring!!
We absolutely love how the Allure Ultra Vinyl Plank Flooring looks in our basement! I'll be honest, I was a bit skeptical about using vinyl flooring in our basement project for several reasons. I thought it would be "cold" looking and feeling and to be honest I've seen some vinyl based "wood" floors that just look awful, but this product couldn't be farther from either of those things. A friend first recommended that we look into vinyl plank flooring as he'd just used a similar product in his basement. I wasn't convinced until I talked to Justin at my local Home Depot store and he completely sold me on the product. I'm very glad he did! Tip: be sure to let the product *fully* acclimate to the room temperature. We had it in the house for a week or so prior to installation, but in a room that was quite a bit colder than the room it was being installed in. As a result it was a bit difficult to snap together at first. Unfortunately I had not ordered enough and had to order a few more boxes and when those arrived I re-did a few rows that had come loose. It was so much easier to do once it was fully acclimated in that room, so whatever you do, do NOT skip that step.

    Beautiful rustic look of luxery
We installed this floor as a part of a master bath/bedroom remodel that included rolling barn doors to create a luxurious western and rustic look. This floor offers low maintenance and endurance yet appears authentic wood with beautiful grain.

    Very pleased with this flooring!
A couple of months ago, we had Allure Ultra Sawcut Arizona flooring installed throughout our main level (entry, dining room, great room, kitchen, ½ bath, pantry and two closets). We chose this product because it is waterproof and because we needed durable non-slip flooring for our dogs. We absolutely love this product and plan to also install it in our upstairs bathrooms. We are very pleased with the high quality look of this flooring. We have had many comments from people thinking it is real wood. It is so easy to keep clean and we love the rustic look and feel of the sawcut texture. It is much quieter and warmer than laminate and our dogs get good traction on it with no scratching from their nails. We used the Home Depot installers and were very happy with the professionalism, speed and quality of the installation.

    Super happy
My husband and I just put in the Allure Ultra Arizona Sawcut in our laundry room last month. It was easy to work with and the finished product is beautiful. Boards don't click as satisfyingly as other click systems I've worked with, but the pieces fit together very snugly once we got the hang of it. Has held up well so far to dropped tools. I like that it doesn't feel super cold on bare feet. Would definitely recommend. We plan to put it throughout the rest of our house. Wish there was a stair kit.

    LOVE IT!
This is a perfect option for my basement floor which had asbestos tiles that we were concerned about removing. I waited before posting to make sure that the floor was durable and it is!. We have six kids and this floor has done very well. For the installation we used a method that we read about online. My husband and I first joined the entire row and then we added it to the row we had already laid. He stood on one end of the room and I on the other. It worked perfectly. It was not difficult to make the cuts. We originally thought about tile but that would be an issue with the existing tiles plus I hate cleaning the grout. This is a great option and we are very happy!

    The jury is out
Just finished installing 250 sq ft (12 boxes) of the rustic maple. The Good: It looks fantastic - really beautiful and 95% like real wood. Also, it was surprisingly easy to cut, including the tough cut-out around air registers etc. All I needed was a utility knife and straight edge. I crimped cut-outs with a pair of pliers. That's it. The Not-So-Good: This is NOT the easiest flooring in the world to install. I have installed real wood flooring, have built and renovated houses and am very mechanical. I ended up with some hairline cracks that I am concerned that over time will collect dirt and be unsightly. I bought the Allure tapping block to persuade pieces to draw up, and actually discovered that I was doing more harm than good by using it. This is a "finesse" product and not a "force" product, and the tiny tongue and groove system only sometimes actually "clicked" as advertised, about 1 in 10 pieces. Only 1 in 3 or 4 actually drew up together perfectly the first time. Hitting the tapping block (as you would with real floors) didn't work and actually fragmented the "tongue" so that thin slivers of plastic shredded off. About 1/4 of the way through the job. I experimented more with the angles and applying pressure with my hands and body weight, and got better results. You need to wiggle the pieces together and lean into it, and sometime arching the previous piece as well to get everything to draw up. Then, it doesn't stay drawn up on the long sides despite using a rubber mallet. I occasionally sank a sheetrock screw under the edge (to be covered by shoe moulding) to hold everything in place. No matter what anyone else says, hairlines cracks will be a part of the job, which actually makes it look even more authentic, like wood. But we will see over time. If they become a problem, my rating of this product goes from 4 stars to 1. When I was finished, I felt like I had wrestled every piece into place and had really sore knees despite using knee pads. I had to, because there was variation in how the pieces inter-locked together - the manufacturing process does cause subtle variations in the mechanics of the each pice. Also, the tiny differences in how separate prices draw up will compound across rows. This product is one of those that sounds great in the advertising and in principle, but the realities of installation tell a different story. To be fair, when it is done, you do not need to stain or coat the floor as with wood. I do think this was the right flooring system for our situation, but fingers crossed on how it looks 1, 2 or 3 years from now.

    Allure vinyl plank flooring
We were impressed how easily this floor snapped together and we were able to install over the existing flooring. This flooring is a wide plank and we were able to cover more area in less time. Because this flooring is 100% waterproof, we were able to install over all floor areas including bath and kitchen. We love the color and depth of this flooring and the ease of care.

    Good Product
I used an installer and watched - it seemed very easy to install, however you must make sure you make precise cuts. We held it off either side of the walls and used 1/4 round because we felt it would expand and if it didn't have room to expand it may buckle a little. Overall it is really a great looking product, goes down easy and is very durable. We are extremely happy with the product. We also used it on the stairs and it looks great.

    Amazing Flooring!
I have waited a little over a year to write a review. Why??? I wanted to see how this flooring held up. I put it in my dining room which is a high traffic area. I also have two little dogs. It has held up to everything. Still looks as beautiful as the day I put it down. No signs of wear at all! I'm a single woman, and did this flooring myself. I had no difficulty cutting it or putting it down. People that come to my home are amazed that this is vinyl. I'm now ready to do my entire home in this! I hate carpet, and looked a long time for flooring that would hold up, looked beautiful, and was easy to keep clean. This flooring is the answer!

    Looks great, easy to install
We put this product in our basement. Even though our basement is modern looking, we have an older house and liked the look of the wide boards, the golden color and the burl texture. It was very easy to install, don't pay someone else to do it, it's not worth it. Just score and break the planks. I had to score several times, my husband just once. We used a table saw for the long rips. Re-use your end plank at the start of the next row to reduce waste. This product was a bit more expensive than other brands, but when we brought samples home and compared, we liked it best - wider boards, thicker weight and nicer looking woodgrain. My only issue was that we had to wait almost two weeks for it to be delivered. Came on a truck and we had to store it in our garage and carry the boxes in - a pain, but still worth it.

    Looks great
This was the first time I had used the click together vinyl flooring, so putting down subsequent rows took some patience on my part! But the end result was beautiful. It was quite pricey for vinyl flooring, but for the small bathroom it was used in, it wasn't too bad on the budget. If you can afford it, it's well worth it.

    Stunning Floor!
This is the 2nd time I used Allure Ultra, but this time beats even the wood floors I've had in the past. It is just stunning to look at and true to the online representation, looks just like hand sawcut wood. It's soft to walk on, no buckling or movement even when heavy furniture is rolled across it and no indentations either. Im my last home, we had the floor for 2 years and when we moved, even the appraiser thought it was real wood. No scratches (we have dogs), no dents...looked like new. We had our regular wood floor installer for the installation and he finished the job shaking his head. He could not believe how easy it was to install and could not believe how great it looked. Everyone is shocked when they ask what kind of wood we have and we tell them it's vinyl. It's NOT your grandmother's kitchen floor! Love love love my Sawcut Colorado floor. Check out the photos!

    Great floor!
Had this installed for a month, so far it is great! We purchased this floor after I ruined my laminate flooring from a washing machine overflow blunder. Now that our remodel is over I am so glad my laminate floor is gone! This vinyl flooring is wonderful! It is surprisingly warm underfoot and much quieter than I expected. The install took 2 people a full day to do (living/dining/hall) using 12 boxes. It was easy to score and snap with a utility knife. Cutting around door frames was more complicated but not too bad. We made a template from the perfect plank-sized sheets included in the packaging to cut the patterns out. Some of the planks took a little bit of muscle to snap together, but all in all it was pretty easy. The floor looks great and is so much easier to keep clean than my laminate (which was always a 2-step process. When I cleaned my laminate I had to immediately go back and dry it to prevent water spots even when the floor was barely damp). The Allure Ultra does not show water spots at all saving me time when cleaning. The floor looks great and we have received many compiments. The color and texture make it appear more like wood. Before purchasing the Allure Ultra we compared several other brands, we almost purchsed a similar loking product that was over $1 less per sq ft until we compared samples side by side. There was no comparison! The cheaper product scratched extremely easily while it took a lot of pressure and several scratches with a pair of scissors to scratch through the colored layer of the Allure. You would have to drag an extremely heavy and sharp object over this floor to damage it. The other product would have scratched through the color layer with a rock in your shoe!

Who knew that vinyl could look this good...
Installation was a bit tricky, but gets easier as you go. Vinyl plank is much easier to install than laminate because there is no 'chipping'. The best part of this floor is the texture and look. We installed it the waiting room, kitchen, and bathroom of a commercial building. We received many compliments and we love the fact that it's waterproof and very durable.

After a long wait, very pleased with the outcome
Product was available online only. After a long wait, and a few hiccups in the delivery process, 15 cartons of the flooring arrived in good condition. It took me two days to install 300 sf by myself, working around cabinetry. If it was a blank slate it would have gone down in half a day. It blends perfectly with a floating bamboo floor previously installed using the seam molding. I used an underlayment pad similar to the bamboo to ensure the dissimilar floors were at the same level. Couple of helpful hints. Directions indicate start from left corner with tongue out. A better instruction should say start from the furthest left corner and show which is the tongue side. That being said, working around cabinetry, forced the installation to require pieces fit under the groove. I found that if you just nip out the corner as it is on the tongue side the piece falls right in place. The click is a finesse, not muscle technique. If you accidentally score/scratch where you don't want take a spoon and burnish the material back in place, virtually invisible. I found nippers (tile, or nail type) very helpful in fitting around cabinets. If you find you need to cut flat seams and butt together, put a little clear poly caulk on the edge and it holds together and is almost invisible.
