Finally, someone came out with a true Candy color in a spray can. I had a small nicknack that I had been wanting to restore for some time. I used this paint for the base coat color. I was really impressed.
For proper color and coverage, you need to use the recommended base coat, and a clear coat for a final. The manufacture provides you the information for these items.

The average home users does not have access to expensive paint sprayers, and our choice of quality 'rattle can' paints has typically been limited. Also Corp came to the rescue and have packaged their Candy Apple Red paint in a paint can, and the result whilst not spray booth quality are very close.
I took a raw piece of steel from my CNC plasma table, lightly sanded it, and applied a plain grey primer. After allowing to cure for 24 hours, I once again lightly sanded the piece before applying two coats of Candy Apple Red. The color really pops.
I'm not sure what nozzle they are using in the spray cans, but I like it. I found the paint applied evenly without spattering. It was easy to get an even and consistent coating.
Depending on the base coat/primer color you use, will depend on the type of finish and color you get.
A deep and rich color without the expense of a spray booth.

You need to apply this over a basecoat. we used Alsa's Nevada Silver, over a coat of cheap Kryon primer to get a nice finish on wood.
Smelly stuff, so wear a carbon filter respirator mask. Set up a cardboard box spray booth outside and cover the box with damp towels between coats to keep the dust out.
The Candy Apple Red is translucent, so apply a light coat and then slowly build up the depth of finish that you desire.
Let it cure out and then apply a coat of Alsa's Mirra Clear.
Yeah, it's a four part process and it takes time and care, but with time and care you get a perfect finish.
I decided to paint my golf cart with Killer Cans "Apple Red" . So...each can is supposed to cover approximately 10 square feet. I figured I would need 1-2 cans of base, 1-2 cans of top coat, 1-2 cans of clear coat.
Nevada Silver ---BASE COAT--- went on great. One can gave me sufficient coverage.
"apple red" coverage was horrible. - The first can was definitely an old style nozzle. If I would have stopped here, I never would have used this product again. However, the coverage was so poor that I HAD to order another can. The second, third and FOURTH cans had AWESOME nozzles and went on VERY smoothly. BUT, I had to order a third can....FOR A GOLF CART !!!!!
Then a FOURTH can. This is CRAZY. The finish is GREAT, but the coverage is very POOR.
Conclusion....I would use this paint again. I would just know before going into the project that I was going to need 2-3 times the amount they claim on the can.
The majority of the cart looked pink after 3 cans of APPLE RED and multiple coats. I tried to take get some good pictures showing the pink hue, but i was not very successful
Easy to Apply, Looks Great, High Quality of Material
No Instructions, horrible coverage
Paint and wait. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.

Patience is a virtue huh? Well you're gonna need that and deep pockets. This will eventually get you your candy apple red coat after coat after coat after coat - you get the idea. The base color dramatically affects what your end result will be as this is a "tinted" spray. If you have the time you can get a "good" result but at this cost per can??
It took 7 months from the time I ordered this to the time I received it. Not happy there, then the candy apple wasn't really a candy apple. It also didn't say that it requires a clear coat applied too. Incomplete system. Tip drips even in the operating conditions the can says. Drips ruined the finish. Will not purchase again.
I have used several types of candy paint in the past, and this is by far the best I have used. The color is deep, and wet, and it lays down without any streaking.
Very Impressed. Will try other colors.
