Should have listened to my plumber
Totally disappointed. We’ve had AS Champion toilets for years. Best ever. But they didn’t come in a 10” rough-in, so I researched and looked at this model’s videos. It showed a video of flushing everything down without a problem, so we purchased the toilet. First issue is that the tank top doesn’t squarely fit on the tank. It will not seat completely. Second issue is that I’ve had to plunge this toilet at least a dozen times since installing it 3 months ago. Not much paper, either.

American Standard Makes Good Commodes
My handyman installed the Cadet 3 toilet in my rental house without any problems. However, I was disappointed that this toilet didn't include a seat which seems to be a standard item with other brands. Nevertheless, my tenants and their dog are happy users.

Flushes each and every time so far. Happy
Recently installed, but so far we are very happy. The dual flush 1.2 gallon would not always fully flush, so we had to flush twice - that did not save water. These flush well. Older house and the 10” setback was what we needed.

Serious problem with 10" rough in Cadet toilet. The fill...
Serious problem with 10" rough in Cadet toilet. The fill line connector to tank is too close to bowl. There is not enough room to turn supply line as the bolt hits side of tank. Now the threads got stripped due to bending. Had to replace fill valve and is now leaking. Need help with this design flaw.

Toilet base was poorly made with center ceramic cylinder edge...
Toilet base was poorly made with center ceramic cylinder edge not even with rest of base; was high-centered.Tank had ceramic defect that would not allow lid to fit properly. Surprised it was otherwise relatively unscathed, as the box itself was in tatters. Unfortunately, could not reorder as none remaining in entire HD inventory. Having to shop elsewhere to hopefully find one.

This is a wonderful toilet!
I've got to say, after much researching, this American Standard Cadet 3 Powerwash meets the need. It replaced a 40 year old toilet that was temperamental if one's contribution would actually make it down and out. Depending on the configuration of the contribution, it would get stuck and require the assistance of a plunging to help it along. This new Cadet 3 handles any challenge with no problem.

They could have and should have included the seat with this toilet. It cost enough.
Size is good. Works fine, although I have one instance of the tank locking open and the water was running all day before I got home and noticed it. So now I make sure it's stopped filling up before I leave the room.
