After several cheap plastic sprayers failed, I selected American Standard because of its strong metal construction and American Standard's reputation for quality. It has the strongest spray of any unit I have used, and continues to work perfectly to my expectations after about a month of use.

Handsprayer and hose
We ordered the hose in satin but got a handsprayer in the color of chrome which doesn't match our faucet. We are happy, however, to have found the sprayer in stock.

A perfect replacement
This sprayer has lasted 11 years since the last time I replaced it, so no complaints there. It is easy to remove and replace with the new one. There are zero leaks, and it works great.
If your original sprayer had/has contoured finger grips and is model M953667, this one is cheaper and is a perfect match with the sprayer holder and faucet connection. I read from other reviews that, if you order the other one, you get sent this one anyway. So just go with this one.

Quality for price was what was expected but pre-afixed nut...
Quality for price was what was expected but pre-afixed nut for connection is a male flair fitting and metric. To make it work I had to cut old and new lines amd use a 3/8" mail-male barb connector and two 1/2" hose clamps. Required multiple trips to HD and more in parts than original spray assembly. In retrospect I believe this is not a generic replacement but specific for a brand of faucet. My application was in an RV bathroom for toilet cleaning.

This Sidespray is used on specific American Standard faucets and you are correct it may not be able to work on different manufacturers product without modifications. Your American Standard Consumer Connection Team.

Bought this because have changed this item 3x in past 2 years due to leakage and breakage issues of in stock store item from different manufacturer. Decided to order and give "American Standard" a try. If this is not more durable, will be very disappointed and fed up with HD. Time will tell.
