base has a 1 1/2" x 1/8" depression that goes all the way around it. there is no way for the water to get out to the drain. and you have to caulk the joint where the walls meet the base or water will run out onto the floor .

I ordered this item on line. I had it delivered...
I ordered this item on line. I had it delivered to a different state. It was picked up by the person that was installing it. I have not seen the item or the installation. Also, I did not hear any complaints from the installer. I can only assume all is well.

Photo on your website looks like a “kit” consisting of the walls plus the BASE! The finished height is also misrepresented! When you add on the additional THREE inches from the BASE, actual finished height becomes 75”, not 72” as stated on the website. BASE measurement is also closer to 30x62!

brought it 200 miles away to find corner was cracked....
brought it 200 miles away to find corner was cracked. It had been repackaged and reshelved and packing was really inadequate. I got a second one and had them open it, It also had chips in it. And also reshelved. Sad no one else carries this item as I am done with Home depots poor service

Easily chipped surface. Both front corners were found to have spalled upon opening the box. Otherwise a pretty nice unit. Not sure why American Standard cannot build it so it doesn't require additional work to level the base when placed on a dead-level slab.

The shower was easy to assemble but the floor is slick it should have a little rides in the floor part like they do at Lowe’s so you won’t fall. I am64 and I hoped this one would have had that features but didn’t .now I have to worry about a slick floor on the shower making me fall

Very poor design, warped didn't find this out until set in mortar, bottom very poorly crafted had...
Very poor design, warped didn't find this out until set in mortar, bottom very poorly crafted had to use 110 lbs of mortar to level and keep from rocking, very easily chipped but had to use anyway due it being already set in mortar. would not recommend this base to anyone.

As you know the base is required to be supported along the entire bottom using mortar and we do recommend using a couple bags of mortar to insure proper support. The base is supposed to be true and level and not warped so if possible please contact the American Standard Whirlpool/Acrylic tech team to discuss possible options.
