Customer Reviews for American Standard Princeton 60 in. x 30 in. Soaking Bathtub with Left Hand Drain in Linen

We just had our American Standard Princeton 2391.202 tub installed. The contractor used a 2x4 stringer on the back wall set at the height stipulated in the installation instructions, as well as fender washers to pinch the tub flange to the supporting studs, and a silicone bed on the subfloor. Prior to installation, the subfloor was confirmed to be level. After letting the silicone 'bed' cure for 24 hours, my contractor stood in the tub and noticed that it had a significant "bubble". When stepping on it, the tub flexes noticeably and makes a distinctive sound like a mason jar being popped. He mentioned that this tub may be defective / delaminated. We were looking for something that looked nice was affordable and suitable for a guest room. This is what I was looking for and looks great! No chips! The contractor had no issues installing it.

Good tub. It exceeded my expectation.

Nice light weight and fit the space perfectly.

Tub is great! Came with its own leveling system built right into the bottom of the tub. Installation was easy following the directions as for the dimensions needed in the space.

Excellent for the price

Replaced a fiberglass tub enclosure with this and tile above. I was pleased that even I could maneuver it around by myself, in opening the box to inspect it for defects. Installed easily and I like the lower height for ease of step-in. No complaints. It's a good basic tub. In my search, HD had the best price on it.

This is the worse tub I have ever purchased in my life. It started to rust after 5 years of purchase then I had the tub reglazed. It has been reglazed twice the rust just keep coming back.

Inside Tub looks beige. Not impressed. No way this is white does not match outside of tub color. I believe its not a good coat (enough) of paint inside, for sure.

Basic bathtub, but well made, holds the heat in and has ample edge to store things. Very light- easy to lift and carry.

Installed an Americast tub 20 years ago and was disappointed at the reduced quality since that unit and this one. Had to shave off a lot of excess plastic backing esp. surface which rests on 2x4 support to get it to fit.

Better quality than the lightweight bathtubs you normally see .

Bought this tub several years ago and it has been a great tub since then. We are buying another for our next house now.

Good quality product with a spacious basin and built in tilt so water can drain properly.

Worst tub ever, my back hurts so much in this tub that I can barely get out once I’ve laid back in it. My husband also. I love baths and now, I hate them. It’s been the worst year of baths of my entire life. Wish I could replace this, but unfortunately I’m stuck with it because .. well .. money is right.

Good quality tub. Great finish and it looks beautiful in our remodeled bathroom. Almost went for a cheap brand, but so glad I got this one instead.

Very poor enamel finish

The tub was not white but more of a light beige\cream. Only noticed the difference after it was installed, and I could compare it to the white tiles and toilet. Disappointed. customer.

Very bad finishing qualiry and it is too late to replace it as i drmolished my old one.. even the color is not white.. it is creamy color

Home Depot (and American Standard) uses "white" to describe a finish that is not actually white. The tub does not match my white Kohler toilet or subway tiles, which completely ruined my bathroom remodel. If you want the American Standard tub that is ACTUALLY white, purchase the one with the "Arctic" from a supplier that carries it.

Bathroom remodel underway - so far tub installed easily - but not tiling wall not completed so haven't . used tub yet. Note: there are two versions of tub with different bottom configurations depending on how being installed.

The tub seems fine but I can't tell for sure because I don't think my contractor installed it correctly.
