Don’t last.

These flappers work great for about a two years and then they don’t. I bought two American Standard toilets around 2017 and have had to replace these flappers twice in both toilets. It’s like built in obsolescence.

Disappointed in original quality.

With two original flappers on a new toilet, I'm very disappointed. Both originally had or developed "edge blisters" within a year, which resulted in leaks, excess water running through toilet and unneeded noise of the running toilet at any time of day or night. Flapper product quality was poor, in my opinion which could be for several reasons. At this point, I will not rate the flappers which I had to purchase to fix problem. But currently, I do not have good expectations for the replacements.

Very disappointed customers

We have been an American Standard customer for many years. We have four AS toilets in our home. We like the toilet this flapper is in, but are really disappointed that we have to change this flapper so often. We don't have to change the flapper in any of our other AS toilets this often. The flapper is also very expensive; more expensive than seems reasonable. (It does not seem to be a "good value") We will check the flapper style better the next time we replace a toilet to make sure it does not have this style of flapper. It's a small thing in the grand scheme of our lives, but very disappointing.

This will make the 2nd time I have replaced a flapper. There are 2 inside of this toilet and have had to replace each one and have the toilet for a little less then 3 years. Not sure if there is a flaw in the way the flapper is made but now that both have been replaced maybe they will last longer then the originals.
