Easy to use liquid rubber. I live in California, no basement to seal but I have been having issues finding something to fill the gap between the concrete around our pool and the adjacent coping. I tried using a substance from a caulking gun but found it to be extremely difficult to apply as it would not melt enough to spread smoothly.
So as you can see from the pictures I applied the liquid rubber to my coping edge to fill gaps that would allow water to seep thru. It is pretty easy to apply since its semi solid already but yet pliable to trowel. My next task will be to try to paint it gray. I hope it can be painted if not maybe fade over time. The blue is a bit shocking.

It's very heavy bodied. Almost no odor, smells about like wet primer. I have used many masonry water sealers/pruffing materials. This stuff is thick and messy, if you've used black tar roof patch it's about the same without the smell. It cleans up easily using water or just wipe it from trowels.
I have no doubt it will hold water out, IF you prepare the surface properly and top coat if required due to uv exposure. I wonder about longevity and being able to adhere over time. I'm guessing it would be an even worse job to remove this product than it is to apply.

Ames Blue Max Trowel Grade is an excellent waterproof coating for larger cracks. It can also be used as the coating alone.

Had tricky leak that I first tried to solve with regular grade blue max but was unsuccessful. Trowel grade was thick enough to do the job.

Excellent adhesion and a pudding-like viscosity. When used to patch over holes, the Blue Max had little shrinkage after drying. Dries to a durable, rubber-like consistency. Ability to clean up with water is an added plus.

This material has a nice smooth texture that makes it very easy to trowel into cracks and crevices. You should scrape the cracks to loosen material and create a valley to allow this product to fill and seal. Short term we had a couple heavy snow/rain days and no water seeped in. This should last a long time as long as you use it properly. It seems to go a long way in usage.

Wow! I cannot believe how well this sealant worked. The sealant was easy to apply and adhered really good. The smell of the sealant wasn't overpowering which I appreciated. The concrete I used this sealant on was over seventy years old and I simply wire brushed the surface and applied even coats until the sealant was gone. I would absolutely recommend this.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, "Blue Max Trowel Grade is a highly adhesive product that over the first number of days increases in adhesion. So if you test the adhesion right after it dries you may be able to peel it off. If you wait several days you will find that the adhesion substantially increases.
Blue Max Trowel Grade will adhere to tar, wood, brick, concrete, and most painted surfaces. We do not recommend Blue Max over 100% silicone, glass, or an extremely smooth surface. As is the case with most latex based products the surface must be clean, dust-free, and dry. It is important that the surface is dry in order for the product to cure properly and bond to the surface. If the surface was not clean and had grease, soaps, or waxes on it, then that could be interfering with Blue Max adhesion.
It would be helpful to know what the substrate material is and the condition it was in prior to applying Blue Max. Was it crumbly or deteriorating? Was there surface contamination? Was there another product already on the foundation that was loose or flaking?
To resolve this problem we would recommend that the areas on the foundation where you have peeling be clean and dry prior to recoating. The Blue Max Trowel Grade is meant to fill cracks in surfaces. The Blue Max Regular Grade is thinner and designed for foundation walls.

Time will tell if Blue Max will work a well...
Time will tell if Blue Max will work a well as it appears to be so far. Trowel grade is easy to apply but be aware that it is thinner than you might expect for something called 'trowel grade". Another thing to keep in mind, the surface needs to be dry before applying.

We have a skylight, installed 25 years ago by a professional. Eight years ago we had the roof redone and since then there have been minor drips, or if we have 4 inches of rain, which comes twice every year now, which puts enough water down that there is a leak. I have used just about every sealing product sold at Home Depot with varying degrees of success. In December I tried Blue Max. Had three days of dry weather and temp was above 50F.
This is the easiest product I have used to date.
Applies with ease, easy clean up
Seals, coats and permeates where the flashing meats the frame. Covered everything evenly and was naturally inclined to soak under the shingle. The following week we had monster storm 6 inches in two days and no leak. Checked inside attic and it is as dry as I can wish.
Highly Recommend as the best thing I have found,

I have an old house with plenty of basement water problems that need solving, and I would say this product really helped me with those problems. The mixture was easy to spread, and the color actually really helps to see where you have full coverage or not. The mix set pretty quick and seemed to repel water right away, I think overall I will plan to use more of this in the future.

This product worked okay. Not as well as they claimed, but okay. I would have given a five star rating if their claims hadn't been so lofty. I've got a pretty serious problem with water getting in the basement when it rains. This didn't seem like a product that would have solved the problem, but the marketing copy made it seem like it would, so I gave it a shot. This stuff is pretty easy to use, and it certainly helped a little bit, but it's not the miracle product it appears to be. I would consider using it again for a different project that is perhaps less demanding.

This is incredible liquid rubber. We have used it coat ranch and gardening implements as well as seal parts of the barn roofs. It goes on smoothly. It can be spread thinly or thickly, depending on the need. We have saved some for spring sealing now that the weather has gotten colder, but we applied it in 50 degree weather with no problem (although not recommended). Very happy with the quality!

Finally a non-petroleum, water based and water cleanup, flexible ( Up to 800% Elastomeric), trowel grade, high strength liquid rubberizing compound for extreme waterproofing that is made in the USA! What sets this product aside from other cheaper products is that it is high in solids. This is demonstrated by the high degree of buildup per application (Estimated 10 mil based on standard product coverage on a smooth surface of 100 sq. ft. per gallon per coat.) It will fill 1/8 inch gaps on first coat and up to 1/2 inch gaps using multiple passes. Be advised that this product does not have UV inhibitors added so if it is applied on areas exposed to sunlight, it will need to have a top coat applied to deter UV rays.
