I love this paint. I have used Drylock in the past for my indoor masonry walls; however, this paint is much easier to apply with an airless paint sprayer than Drylock. In addition, I really like the finished, rubber-like elastomeric texture which makes it very easy to clean.

Super thick paint, but it covers well and once it’s dry water sheds from the surface area. I’ve purchased 15 gallons so far and I’ll be buying more again soon.

Looking for a better paint for covering and sealing a small water stain. The Ames Paint and Prime has worked well so far . Like other stain paints we have used in the past the water ring seems to come back after a while. Maybe the the addition of the elastomeric, and Fungi , Mildew, alegae inhibitors might be the ticket long term. The paint after shaking viscosity was very thick. Application with a brush and roller was good went on smooth though the roller took a while to absorb in the roller for a good coverage. For our issue one coat was all that was needed.Dry time was took longer then must paints but it skined like other in 69 degree room. This is a all in one paint and primer and other additives and work pretty good with one coat. This is water base low odor, clean up was easy. All in all it work well for our small project.

Pros Easy to Clean, Easy to Use, High Quality Cons long dry times

This is the perfect paint & primer in one can. This is great for walls that get a lot of abuse like a child’s room, or a rental unit. This waterbase pure acrylic latex paint will cover up water stains, crayon, oil and grease stains, smoke stains on drywall, concrete, stone, metal and wood. It has an inhibitor added to it to prevent mold and mildew (See Photo), and it has elastomeric technology making it flexible to resist cracking and peeling. It is low odor, low VOC (Volatile organic compounds). It claims a 25 year warranty. It can be applied with a brush, roller, pad, or sprayer. Can be used indoors or outdoors. Can be tinted to a color of your choice. It cleans up with soap & water. It cures in 1 week. 1 gallon covers approximately 300 to 500 sq. ft. depending on the surface texture. It was securely shipped in a thick corrugated cardboard box. The gallon is inside a strong plastic bag, and the top is securely sealed with 4 metal clips to prevent the top from coming off (See Photos). It arrived in perfect condition!

I have written this review before. This was surprisingly, amazingly packed well. I have yet to use this product, but after reading all the directions, which are well written, this elastrometric [sp] paint/sealant will do just the job. Looking forward to preparing the surfaces and applying this product. Would I recommend it, yes I would...............

Paint and Prime is an excellent paint for overall coverage and use. On some places I used Blue Max as an undercoat, and this makes an excellent moisture barrier and highly durable coverage with Paint and Primes exceptional features. Well worth the money, for a 15+ year paint job.

This paint is a solid covering primer and paint. The material is pretty thick and has one coat coverage. I expect to see no bleed through. Usually I use KILZ and it works fine, but this is way above a standard primer. The paint will seal everything and has some ability to fill small voids. Probably reduces some of the texture of the surface. Very good adhesion to wood and drywall

This was used on my Grandson's bedroom in the cellar. It went on very nicely and will be more test worthy after the warmer weather is here in the Northeast. There cellar gets very wet in the Spring and they painted the area were it will be wet and would cause mold. They will finish painting with this in the Spring and hopefully be looking to finish the room then.
