Easy to install, looks great, functions as expected. Only issue was lock set; we bought two of the same storm door, one had KwikSet the other Schlage. All other doors on our project were KwikSet so lock is going to have to be swapped out by owner to rekey one of the storm doors.

I ordered the TruEase door (which is currently not listed on the website) but I loved the fact that I could have the screen open from the top and bottom of the door. Now that the door is installed, I love it. It's a great door! However, the instillation process was a nightmare. The directions were so confusing and difficult to understand and required us to read them multiple times (in addition to watching videos). The pieces are not labeled so it's difficult to distinguish which piece is which (especially when the whole door comes completely unassembled). We also had an issue with the closer, it's not clear how far on the door it should be placed which resulted in having to drill holes for it 3 times. If you order this, just pay one of their professionals to put it in, because it's not worth the confusion and frustration to install it yourself (even if you've installed a storm door previously).

My contractor installed the door within a couple of hours, and it looks very nice. The door also seems very durable and high quality.

Proper install was a fair bit of work. Instructions say 2 hours (yes - if your opening is perfectly sized and you've installed one of these before). This model has only one automatic closer (at the bottom of the door) and the glass to screen replacement is not a simple twist of the handle. It is 4 plastic strips that have to be correctly popped into place on each edge of the class or screen. I would upgrade to a more expensive model if I wanted to change the glass to screen on a seasonal basis. Once the install is complete, it looks and performs like a quality door.

Nice door and heavy. They place the sticker right on the glass so its a pain to get off and leaves sticky marks. kinda loud click when closing but I am sure I can release the tension. Overall, I think I made a good choice. It looks very nice with my new concrete steps.

First, its a great product. Well constructed. I really like the hardware (handles and locking mechanism). I like that you can use if for either left or right hand openings. The instructions were easy to follow and the use of the "orange" support clips made the install even easier. I really like the full view glass. It's great having the door open, seeing outside, and still having my heat or A/C running. I am very happy with this door and would recommend to anyone looking for a great storm door at a great price.

I was amazed at the quality of this door. It is built very well. The only negative id say, Isn't really a negative on product but more on myself, I wish i had purchased a higher model that had the BUILT in screen instead of swapping it with the glass... My bad for not reading thoroughly enough. No regrets though ,,, Great door and served my purpose.

Very unhappy. I bought the Andersen 2000 door. I am having it installed and the sweep is a tiny piece of metal and way too short to insure a good fit. So we go back to the store, finally got someone to wait on us, there are only cheap plastic sweeps and if we want a metal, wider one, they will have to order it. This is unacceptable. It is 30 degrees outside and now there is a huge gap at the bottom of the door.

I've had the Anderson door for about 2 weeks. The installation was simple and it looks great. The door is very secure and the full glass pane allows for great viewing. I'm very happy with the product.

This is a quality full view storm door with a quality lock. The best part was the price. We had water coming in our front door and the hardwood floors buckled. Not any more. Aren't we cute!

I have bought from our Home Depot but am not buy far good with a saw or hammer.I needed a out Side door and bought the Anderson 2000,and like was stated buy a few other,s the direction,s are not the best,but for a guy that has never put a door on and has no experience in this field it turned out real nice.Closer,s and door,along with the easy change screen for the money work fantastic.Real happy with it and highly recommend this door.

We're refurbishing a 1960 home. The old storm door was divided into 3rds obliterating the lovely raised panels on the original door. So my fave feature is the full glass view which shows the details. See pics. The BONUS feature primary reason i chose this door over others is that button on the bottom that allows the door to stay open. Now I can open/close that without having to call hubby, a great feature for shorter folks. Im 5 2 Door feels heavy and sturdy. Installation was easy. READ THE DIRECTIONS to understand. There needs to be a redesign on the threshold sweep at bottom. WAY TOO SHORT as some others mentioned. Had to go get a longer one. Even with that we are very pleased. Also nice was that the door was on sale which I love Home Depot's sales...helps stretch my remodel budget.

Door looks very good. Instructions were not intuitive. Written instructions had the door being installed with the glass in place. On line Anderson videos showed it being installed with out the screen or glass. After hanging the door went to install the screen with the bottom retainer. Placement of the bottom retainer was installed to far to the left and needed to be removed. The retainer was impossible to remove. Could not find any instructions in the installation guide on how to remove the retainers. Please see picture of the disappointing results and the shredded retainer below. The door looks nice and is functional. The twice a year chore of swapping the glass and screen anticipate will be difficult. Hoping that extra retainers are readily available.

We suggest a specialist to do this job. This product is, as any others Andersen products , very reliable.

Screen / glass panel inserts are made out of plastic. Once popped out, it is a difficult task to switch out the glass / screen and reuse the plastic retainer. Feature - retainers needs to be heated up so the plastic will be soft enough to snap into the panel. Performance - terrible. The door is no longer of any use and will need to be replaced. Design – Poor – removing the retainer cracked the plastic. The door is less than 1 year old and after leaving the retainers out in the sun, I was able to pop in the glass panel in the fall. When I attempted to switch out to the screen door this fall, the retainers cracked and broke.

I would like them to come out and readjust the door. It does not completely close on it's home and the bottom piece keeps getting stuck on my shoes.

Though this is more difficult to install than some other multi-component kits on the market, it is a good looking, very complimentary price conscious storm door.

The door appears nice and functions well. I like the bottom closer and the foot activated push button door holder.

I've wanted one of these types of doors for a long time. Quick and easy purchase. Got it out of the box and everything was there. I had never installed a door before so I was a little apprehensive about making sure I understood the direction before I put a bunch of holes through the door. The direction are good. The one thing though, is that it didn't come with the 7/16 drill bit but they included the other drill bit. Not sure why. Once installed the door looks amazing. It works great. The lock and handle work great and seem to be really good quality. Now my beagles can view the front yard from the comfort of there home.

Holes were not lined up properly, metal shaving still on the door, and seems were not tight.

Great door especially for the price. Took a little longer than it should have since a few of the pre-drilled holes did not align. Very happy with my purchase and the dogs love to lay in front of the door and catch some sun.

Purchased the 2000 series storm door in March 2024. Chose the Bronze color that was a special order. Storm door installed by Home Depot contractor. The door looks good but made with cheap materials. Too much plastic and light weight that was not expected. Chose the door because had a lock and called a storm door. Disappointed in the lack of quality/sturdy materials. Older door that had to be replaced were sturdier but had no locks. New is not better due to cheap materials.

the storm door looks great, closes well and was simple to install. nice brass handle as well!

All necessary hardware was included in box, items well made in USA. Directions were easy to understand. Took me 5 hours roughly to install as I had never installed one of these storm doors. I installed the closer on top to have more room on the bottom. Online videos were a big help. My wife and dog loves the door!

Hi, Folks. I returned the door as it wasn’t what I wanted. I then ordered the model 4000. This hasn’t arrived yet.

I like the sturdiness of the door. I dislike the fact that they don’t offer keyed alike lock when multiple doors are ordered for the same house.
