Good quality mixer. I really like that it has the longer shaft. The previous one I had had a short shaft so I had to constantly bend over when mixing. After a couple of bags of mortar my back began hurting, making it almost impossible to finish the job without pain. This mixer has the longer shaft and has a wide mixing blade so mixing was quick and pain free. I was able to mix several bags of mortar throughout my project without having to rest.

This 30 inch Quick mixer by ANVIL is very well made and uses a clever combination of materials to provide a well-balanced mixer that is lighter in total weight. The shaft is steel and the mixing blade portion is aluminum that not only reduces weight but eliminates rusting. Requires a 1/2 drill due to the power needed to properly spin the mixing blades in thick mortar mixes. Also this is priced very competitively compared to others I've looked at.

The Anvil 30 inch steel quick mixer is well made, strong and will take care of mixing jobs for concrete or drywall. The shaft size is 1/2 inch and will work on a 1/2 inch drill very well. The paddles are heavy duty and will perform well in thick mixes. I have several small concrete jobs coming up and I'm going to use it to give me a better mix than I normally get using hand tools.

Anvil brand large paddle mud mixer.
This metal paddle mud mixer is just over 30 inches long, and has a rectangular hoop paddle about 4.5 x 8.5 inches for mixing. The steel hex shaped shaft is 1/2” — so you need a powerful drill (they recommend 6 Amp or more) with 1/2in drill chuck to spin this hefty paddle mixer. The mixer looks like a good work horse, sturdy and well made, and should last a long time. I’m happy with this paddle mixer.
