Works
Using together with a Whirlpool whole house filter that is self-cleaning, etc. The two together provide me with crystal clear water - and I've stopped buying bottled water. My water now is clear, with no odor and no taste - exactly as pure water should be. Prior to installing, my city water was inconsistent - always a little off color (tending yellow hued), sometimes with a strong chlorine odor, always with some cloudiness (and sometimes with significant cloudiness), always with an aftertaste, and always requiring attentive cleaning to prevent calcium/lime deposits at faucets. It was never clear, odorless and colorless like it is now.

like product, quality needs to improve
Filter is working great to prevent hard water issues no issues with that at all first is should have a bypass to allow changing filter without shutting off and draining water Second bracket doesn't fit the housing for price thus is riridiculous I had to make my own Lastly quality of housing is very poor had to redo fittings three times adding more Teflon each time to keep it from leaking, quite the pain!

Don't See Big Difference
We installed this unit to replace a conventional salt rechatge unit that had failed. Istallation was straightforward, complicated only by the use of Schedule 80 PVC unions - no way to conveniently tie into existing plumbing (CPVD). Wish the supplied fiitings had been more conventional. After about a month, we can't see much difference than without a softener. Maybe it is there and we just can't see it. We'll hang in there but as far as I'm concerned, the jusry is still out.
