This classical white mailbox and 2" in ground post kit is the perfect added piece to our front yard. It really does stand out and even the mailman was like "wow" a nice looking white mailbox. The assembly instructions are very clear and pretty easy to put together. All hardware included. It's a Medium capacity size mailbox in galvanized steel with front access. I like the curved down hand piece for easy opening and closing. The red outgoing mail indicator is made of long lasting ABS material. While joining the two post pieces was at first unclear but once you tighten to the expansion joiner in holds very well. We are satisfied with the assembly and overall style of the architectural mailbox.

The white architectural mailbox has a nice finish and seems durable. Assembly went well. The post was difficult to align the coupler. but ,with a little manipulation it went together. I recommend a socket wrench for assembly, which wasn’t on the tools needed list. I don’t understand why it comes with black rubber plugs to cover screws when the post is white. Not a big deal, but seems strange. The instructions were clear and easy to follow.The assemblyTook about 20 minutes. And is very sturdy once finished.

Nice mailbox styling that starts with basic, iconic shape and details of a classic mailbox, then streamlines the design with a fine attention to updated details and styling. We were planning to test this box as a temporary for our new farmhouse home but think it will be a great permanent piece. Starting with the overall kit, the pole is long enough to set in milder climates like mine and for deeper holes that need a lower frost line. They offer basic placement guidelines but I will be checking with my post office to confirm. The post connection is probably the trickiest part of the instructions as the internal connection is made to open internally and cinch the pole together. It's important to put these poles together before setting into a concrete footing (and accidentally loosing that connector in the concrete down below). You can cover the connector holes in the pole with supplied rubber caps but I am disappointed they are black on my all-white mailbox. the mailbox connects to the top pedestal on the tube with bolts/washers/nuts. The connection was a little difficult since the nuts are so close to the corners of the mounting pedestal. I was also disappointed that the washer heads stick up so high and create an annoying stop for letters that want to slide on the bottom as the mail carrier drops them into the box. I will likely find a lower profile bolt substitution so the carrier doesn't get annoyed. What works great is the door. Snaps shut with magnet and the finger pull is plastic so it doesn't get bent out of shape or rusty.Plastic red flag is substantial enough and snaps into place when I want it up. Sides have a space defined by horizontal ridges to place your street numbers in a straight line. Nice design.

Complete and simple kit! ____________________________________________________________________________________ This mailbox holds a lot and all Parts feel like good quality. The door has a magnetic closure which is a nice feature to ensure it won't fall open. The flag clicks into place up and down so it holds well. Putting it together was simple. I recommend using a socket wrench for the inside of box bolts which is easier than using a wrench that the instructions say to use. The white post comes with black hole covers (pictured) so be certain to face the side with holes away from the street. We dug down 22 inches and just packed the dirt around the pole- Long Island NY. It’s not as sturdy as could be, so in the spring we will probably cement it in. The bottom of our mailbox is 39” above ground. This is a nice kit with everything needed.

This is a nice, convenient rural mailbox ...in a box! It has everything you need to quickly get ready for your next mail delivery. The set includes both the post and the mailbox itself. It's labeled medium capacity, which seems to be the standard size of most rural mailboxes. It features galvanized steel construction and a powder-coated finish for durability. Also includes very simple instructions for assembly and installation. The instructions strongly recommend a concrete footer for stable installation. A nice all-in-one set that's easy to assemble.

Very solid. Really good kit with a substantial 2-piece post and a solid box to post mounting. The hardest thing to do is dig the hole if you chose to concrete it in place. To get the ideal height, the post needed to go 11-12" deep and in our rocky soil that can be a challenge but with recent rains proved to be manageable. This is a standard sized mailbox and not the larger of the 2 USPS approved sizes. Like the magnetic latch that helps keep the door closed more securely than one that relies only on friction. As I was ready for a new, better mailbox I chose this one and it's worked out perfectly! Great weight, easy to assemble and mount and larger than a cheaper plastic one. All metal construction, well painted to protect the metal! I chose to use a different "in ground" post "Architectural Mailboxes Pacifica 3 in. x 53 in. Round In-Ground Post, Rubbed Bronze" and paint the mailbox (brown/bronze) to match. It comes with the post and mounting hardware and is designed to be bolted down. (I'm sure I could have buried the mounting plate but again, chose another post to be cemented into the ground. I like the quality of this box for sure!!!

The mailbox comes with the hardware and pole to setup your box or replace an existing one, like us that was plowed over by the snow plow! Assembly is easy. You have an added piece of support to connect the two halves of the pole together. You are also given 4 bolts/washers/nuts to connect the mailbox to the pole. The only issue I had, was the side holes don't line up to the plastic support on the bottom. They aren't needed to install the mailbox, you can use the 4 bolts to connect the mailbox from the inside, but I would have liked the side holes to line up so I could add another axis of support. This can easily be fixed by using a drill and bit to pre-drill a hole through the plastic that lines up with the support and then use 4 more, smaller diameter, bolts with washers and nuts.

I am so excited about this mailbox. It is extremely sturdy, vibrant, and glossy. It comes with a matching glossy white post. The instructions are clear and it is easy to install. The flag lifts and lowers easily. I love the weight of this mailbox. It is made of high quality material. I would definitely recommend this for a new house or a way to spruce up your curb!

This Mailbox with a post is everything one needs less a hole and a bag of concrete. Beautifully powder coated in WHITE or BLACK but I lean towards the white. Everything about this box is slightly bigger, better, stronger than the typical Postmaster Approved box that one usually finds. The two piece post bolts together quickly and securely and appears and feels as it it were a one piece pole. Hardware is provided to secure the box to the plastic base as well. The box design is creased for extra strength along the sides and the lid actually is reinforced with a spot-welded piece of metal. The only possible issue I find with this box are the two plastic hinge pins. Usually there are metal rivets at this juncture and I question the longevity of the plastic pins. The only other caveat is not the fault of the box but I doubt if the plastic base would survive a round of "mailbox baseball". In any case, I would step up and purchase this box over the several others in this "class".
