Great Machine, Great Value!! Plenty of power and cuts the lawn as smooth as carpet.

i bought a 2005 1540 Zoom residental mower. best mower i've ever owned. it has a 15 hp Kohler. back then a power (belt driven# bagger was available - it never clogs. mine has two 4.5 gal tanks #9 gal total#. the deck on mine is fabricated, now its stamped. i even bought a 2-stage snow thower that attaches to the front of it. i use my unit to mow lawns and avg 25 hrs a week, 25 weeks/year, 6 years #25X25X6 = 625 hours#. it still cuts really nice #3 blades) and runs great. i've only replace belts because they looked worn out and keep a extra set of sharp blades.

I love this machine Just bought it has loads of power cuts like a dream respones with a flex of wrist, only draw back I have had is the air filter is poorly design and without a wing nut to hold presure down on the breather, it has a flip spring wire instead and this does not hold enough presure down on the breather and dust sucks up under the breather straigth into the engine !!!

I first saw this machine on the internet while in Florida. Once I returened to MA I went to the local Home Depot and found it was only available on the web page. I purchased it and within a week it was delievered completely asembled to my home. Can't say enoungh about the service.

this unit has almost chopped my mowing time in half. I do recommend the arm rests as an add on.

I bought this mower because of the great reviews and it has been great so far. It took me less than half the time to usually cut my lawn. Only flaw is the paintjob. The color is fine but the paint and material covering the engine is having little pieces come off.

I received my mower well packed and secured w/o any damage. I assembled my partial assembled mower, which was not difficult at all, it took probably 15-20 minutes. I have .75 aces of land, my zoom mower went thru it in little or no time, actually my zoom mower made it fun, I didn't want to get off of it. My son also had a chance to ride around on it. I also liked how accurate and tight the turns are around trees and other obstacles. The disappointing note was that it could have done a better job of mulching high grass. I had to make a couple passes to cut down to a finer grade of grass. Overall, excellent mower.

Had it home for two days an the paint peeled off on the way home from the store. The engine developed an oil leak on the valve caskets not sure if I would recommend this product to anyone else.

I love the way this mower handles. After installing the mulching kit I really enjoy mowing with this mower. It's a winner..... I am not a female.....

I have only used this 3 times but so far it has been a great mower that cuts nice even at full speed. Home Depot had it shipped to a place close by, had it assembled, checked out and deliver to my home. Very nice.

We have had our new Lawn mower for about 3 weeks and our yard looks great. The cut is even and it is a smooth ride. We have not had any problems out of this lawn mower. So far, I recommend this product to anyone who is needing a zero-turn lawn mower.

Excellent mower. I had the zoom 34 which was adequate. I eventually decided to upgrade to the zoom 42. Very happy I did. The 42 has plenty of power and seems to run slightly smoother. So far im very pleased with my purchase. Its actually fun to mow the yard!! My yard is not very big but with the zero turn I can easily mow in tight spaces and get almost everywhere I need to._

Perfect size for my lawn...mowing is a breeze and 3 blades cut great.....was delivered fully assembled to my door as I purchased off the internet.....everything I expected and more. With the mulching kit on and the discharge chute off it can be manuvered very close to all objects on both sides....mulching kit very easy to install.

I got the mower 2 weeks ago and have cut 3 times since I got it. I also cut my neighbor's lawn with it as well all 3 times, so I have about 5 hours of use on it and so far it has been great! It was more expensive than most tractor models that I looked at, but in the end, I am able to cut my lawn more efficiently, and the way I like to in rows and it looks so much nicer now. I also like the fact that it had the tow package installed so I got a dumper for moving soil and other items around and it works great! The only thing I have noticed is wet grass and hills, the mower will slip and skid so go slow and easy if you don't want your grass ruined in spots and it should not be used on steep hills. Overall it is a great mower and if you got the money it is worth it!

I bought this mower last year (915141) and got a bagger kit (815036) for it. My grass retains so much moisture that the bagger would plug up. I got in touch with the factory warrenty people and got the problen resolved. I tried it against a competer (it was blue) and had started to rain. Finally the blue machine had to quit mowing because his blower kept plugging up. They asked me if I could make his high price mower do as good as my ZOOM 42 and I gave him the phone number for an Ariens dealer. I have about $3000.00 less money in my mower than his and my Zoom is hands down better than his speedster 44.

A quantum leap from a riding mower. Overall I am satisfied with the product but Ariens could use some improvements in quality control. The powder coating on the engine lid peeled off the day I brought it home and I had to find some matching paint, one rear tire has a slow leak. One thing I didn't expect was how the mower will dig up soil on tight turns, but it's probably my sandy yard.

I purchased this mower because of all the good reviews I read and the great features (3 blades) (22 h.p.)....I brought it home filled it full of gas, hooked up the battery and it started right up, that's where the good qualities ended! I backed it off the trailer and drove approx. 15 feet toward garage and then it just stopped, it would not move forward or back. A belt came off so I put it back on and still nothing. I checked the hydrostatic release on each wheel and it they were both engaged. After checking things out I found 4 nuts and bolts on engine and drivetrain that were either missing or very loose. I pushed the mower back on the trailer, and as I did oil was leaking from the engine on the ground and the trailer. I brought it back and oil was still leaking from the engine. I will never buy another Ariens again! I owned this mower for approx. 24 hours and it ran for a total of 30 seconds. Very poor quality and cheaply made. I have since checked other brands at Home Depot and the quality and build of drivetrain's are 10 steps above the Ariens. Check out other brands before you buy the Ariens!

I just bought this zoom zero turn to replace a standard lawn tractor. I have roughly 7 acres to mow, and this has cut my mowing time from about 10 hours over 2 days to just about 6 hours. My Wife loves the fact that I can now mow the lawn in half a day instead of all weekend! I would definitely recommend this mower to everyone. I did my research before buying and the Ariens Zoom was the best value. Keep in mind Value is the Price compared to the quality and features. The zoom is by far the best investment I have made for my lawn!

the lawnmawer is amazing, we love it! the delivery went smoothly and it was hassle free. The front was a little dinged up but all in it looked and runs great.

This mower is my first zero turn mower and so far it has been a great experience! I even mowed my Mother In Laws yard, twice. It is a pleasure cutting grass and easy to use too. It is even easy to pull my aerator with too. Great Deal..

THIS IS A TERRIFIC LAWN TRACTOR. THE CONTROLS A BIT TOUCHY. IT TOOK ABOUT 10 MINUTES TO MASTER THE ZERO TURN. I HAD A STANDRED LAWN TRACTOR B4. I LOVE THIS ONE. I CAN DO THE LAWN IN HALF THE TIME NOW.

I just used this for the first time yesterday. The mower preformed perfect! I was worried it would not be able to mow at such high speeds but worked great. I attribute that to the 3 blade system. I went from a craftsman rider to this zero turn and will not be looking back I can get the yard done in half the time. It will take some getting used to but once you get the hang of it you will be happy... Will be ordering a bagger next. This is a great deal and the only 3 blade system in this size mower. Home depot had it delivered set up with gas!!! AAA+++ Rating Great job Home depot!!!
