Old paint cans get rusty around the rim, dropping nasty stuff into the paint. Transferring the paint to the BEHR Metal Paint Bucket, preferably using a straining cloth, allows you to use all the paint. The coating on the inside of the can helps the paint "slide" back down to the bottom rather than dry on the sides. My only concern is the plastic lid. It does not seal as tightly as the original can's "pound on" metal lid. While the plastic is good for keeping the can edge from rusting, the paint tends to develop a "skin" on the surface quicker. Remember to label your can with paint color, brand, finish, date it was saved, and possibly where the paint was used. .
