Will not disappoint. Excellent coverage. Excellent value. Better price and quality than some other name brand chalk paints I've used. I will definitely buy Behr chalk paint for my next project.

Amazing product! Easy to apply and holds up to making sanding defects for the perfect rustic look! Even had enought to completely two full size dressers! A must buy is the BEHR Decrotive wax!

Bought to repaint kitchen cabinets and two pieces of furniture. Took 3 coats on cabinets and 4 on furniture to evenly cover. Less than a week later, the paint is already chipping. The only recommended behr protectant is wax, which isn’t going to cut it in the kitchen. I will probably buy the Rustoleum protective matte topcoat to hopefully seal it. I’ve spent hundreds of dollar and hours and hours of time and am disappointed as I will likely have to paint again with another brand, spending more time and money. Also, it was suuuuper flat on the furniture. Wouldn’t buy again (though love Behr wall paint).

I used the spring stream color and I loved it. I also got it in white base.

I wish I had read review prior to my project. I have experience painting with chalk paint have used many brands and even made my own. This did not cover like chalk paint. I did two coats with a brush as I typically would. Let dry and then went to sand the brush marks out. It didn’t sand like chalk paint should. I got a roller and applied a 3rd coat but that coat didn’t dry even and still looks a mess. I have to start over now. At least it was a small project.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This paint was decently priced, soooo many color options. This color was perfect for my project, I wanted a really Dark Gray that didn't really have any Blue or Yellow hints in the background, but I didn't want it to be Black. The paint was very easy to apply and covered very well. Used only 2 coats, which dry VERY quick so I was able to finish both coats in just a few hours. Looks great and I get a lot of compliments on the piece!

I love the color, but the pigmentation of the color is not as deep as I thought it would be. I am having to do more layers of paint than I thought I would have to. Blessings. I love the color therefore I am sticking with it to paint my upholstery chairs. But if after 4 layers they don't turn out the way I want to, I will have to change to Sloan paint. Blessings.

Great paint dried in an hour!

I love working with Behr chalk paint. I just completed a makeover on my sofa table. This paint goes a long way, is reasonably priced and clean up is a breeze.

I absolutely love this navy chalk paint. so easy to use and it looks absolutely perfect on my antique side table. It was a table that belonged to my grandmother and was in very rough condition. It looks beautiful and I have had so many compliments on it. The wax is a must with this paint. gorgeous finish!

I found an old dresser on the side of the road. I knew instantly I wanted it to be an outside dresser. Sealed it, sanded it a little, and used this delicious orange color - Carousel Red (it is not red). Once it dried I painted a clear coat in it lined the drawers and planted the $6000 dollars worth of plants I bought at Home Depot. I am in love with it. Went on so easy and I’m a spray painter first attempt at Behr Chalk Paint.

Totally love got white now im ordering the oasis blue a red maybe yellow too :-)! Looking for a better wax coating to go over may abve to get a clear gloss to keep the finish

Paint performed as expected and provided the desired effect. This is definitely a "two-coat" paint, as the coverage was good, but not "one-coat." Overall it did what was expected.

The Satin Black paint I received is not black at all, it is a bluish gray. Dried very streaky. Very disappointed.

Absolutely beautiful color. Exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful color, easy to distress. If you take the time and care you can really come out with a beautiful piece.

I purchased the Shark Fin color and it went on my piece of furniture great and coated it very well. I loved how it worked and would definitely purchase this again. I've used the valspar brand and the Behr brand is much better.

I have done many pieces of furniture with Annie Sloan paint many years ago and decided to try Behr since it cost half the price. It had a different consistency but in the end the piece came out perfect. I lightly sanded first then steel wool then wipe it down clean with a damp cloth. Apply the paint not heavy but even. When dry I used lighly steel wool again to remove brush marks then wipe it down and do another coat or so. Once all dry I apply the wax and rub it in. Then use a little steel wool and buff it smooth. It's how I have always done it. I am very happy and will buy it again.

Love the color, but it was lighter than color swatch online. I took it to the Home Depot store and the associate made it a deeper color. Was easy to use and color worked well. Love Behr products.

I can only speak for the color "Classic Noir", because that's the only behr chalk paint I have tried. I'm not sure if the lighter/other colors perform better, but Classic Noir is awful. I have been painting furniture and decor for over 10 years and I've used many kinds of paints, including other chalk paints by other brands. This one is thinner and runny compared to other brand's ive used. But I can still work with that, not a huge deal to me. The problem for me is the color is NOT black, and there was major inconsistencies in the paint. I got it mixed just hours before applying it to my table that we sanded and prepped for refinishing. After one coat I immediately hated it, but still let it dry overnight to give it the benefit of the doubt and see how it dried. It looked terrible. It was a medium gray color with black speckles throughout. Definitely not the black color that it swatched originally. It's like it wasnt mixed properly and the color was also way off. I returned it and they had me speak to the paint mixing person to allow the refund, and he even told me that he "over-mixed it" to hopefully not have an issue and agreed from my photos it was bad. It seemed as though im not the only one who's had this problem. We mixed it with the deep base as we were supposed to, so that also wan't the issue. I do not recommend, at the very least the classic noir color in this line.

Because of what I was painting I needed to prime first. Some items don’t need to be with chalk paint but others do.

My cabinet turned out just beautiful using the Behr chalk paint.

I refinished two family heirloom pieces from the 1920's originally done in the 1960's by my mother. We decided to give these pieces a makeover with new hardware. Contrary to the chalk paint instructions, I stripped the pieces to remove years of varnish and stencil work since the surface was not smooth. I repaired some small imperfections with wood filler. I also applied a primer to eliminate grain bleed on the white drawers. I was not happy with Behr primer so I used Zinsser water based primer. The chalk paint is a little tricky to use since it dries rather quickly. I found I needed two coats and I let it dry 24 hours between coats. I also sanded with 320 grit before final coat. Since I never did a wax finish before I followed the Behr instructions and was not happy with the streaking. Since I used the clear coat there should be no streaking. After researching and even calling Behr, I identified the issue. Behr recommends either a brush or cloth application for the wax. What I found works best is to apply wax in a circular motion using a chalk & wax brush then wipe off in long soft strokes with a soft lint free cloth. This is the key step to waxing, wipe lightly once or twice to remove excess wax. Behr never mentions to wipe off. This method produces a thin evenly coat of wax. I applied two thin coats using this method. I allowed the pieces to cure for two weeks before I put anything on them.
